Chapter: Lily's Contemplation
---
Lily sat in her room, her emerald-green eyes fixed on the ornate ceiling, lost in thought.
The stillness of the space was palpable, broken only by the faint rustling of fabric as she shifted slightly in her chair.
A warm shaft of sunlight filtered through the paper screens of the sliding door, casting soft patterns on the polished wooden floor.
The weight of her father's distant behavior lingered heavily on her mind.
She exhaled deeply, trying to make sense of it all. "Ever since he saw what I could do, he's been avoiding me," she murmured. Her voice was soft, almost fragile. "Why? Wasn't this power supposed to bring us closer, to make him proud?"
Lily thought that after knowing about her power, her father would be very proud of her and would spend more and more time with her, but just the opposite is happening.
