The chapter begins with Adam and Ani still seated together on the train.

The compartment is filled with the gentle hum of the train's motion and the faint chatter of other passengers.

Ani stares out of the window, watching the blur of passing scenery, her mind racing with thoughts she can't seem to quiet.

Beside her, Adam sits quietly, his hand still holding hers. The warmth of her touch grounds him, but he can't ignore the rapid beat of his own heart, still reeling from the words he had shared moments ago.

Adam's gaze drifts to Ani briefly, wondering what's going through her mind. She seems calm on the surface, but he notices the faint nervousness in the way she bites her lip and shifts her gaze outside.
