The warning sirens continued to blare across the Union's underground base, their crimson lights flashing in rhythmic pulses along the metallic corridors. Adam stood frozen for a moment, his mind racing as the distorted voice echoed through the intercom:
"You took something that belongs to us. Now… we're here to take it back."
His gaze flickered to Zero, who was furiously typing on the terminal. The holographic interface projected an internal security feed, displaying the base's lower levels—but something was wrong.
The cameras were cutting out, one by one.
"Damn it!" Zero cursed. "They're using some kind of jamming tech—our security systems are going blind."
Krish slammed his fist on the table. "How the hell did they get in?! This place is locked down tighter than a vault."
Lilith, already loading her sidearm, muttered, "That means there's only one explanation."
Adam nodded grimly. "A mole."
