The Little World

One day Dillon was drafted by an unknown government agency, not for any reason people would readily believe, but because of his empathic gifts. They explained to him that they had created a device for the purpose of nearly instantaneous travel, however instead they had come into contact with beings from another world. Well, not exactly another world entirely, as they exist within this world, they are just enough smaller that they can't be perceived by humans. The device shrunk the humans effected by it to the point whereas they were the same size as these creatures.

The reason they wanted Dillon was due to the fact that only the animals and the armed soldiers that they sent returned. The soldiers having been disarmed and restrained when they were returned. So they hoped to send someone who would hopefully be able to get a better grasp on the situation and use diplomacy rather than violence to bring their people back.

Upon entering this new world Dillon was surrounded on all sides by these creatures, each of them wielding bows & arrows. They all surprisingly looked human. Dillon put his hands up in a universal form of surrender and said "I know that last time people came here they had weapons, and I know that would seem threatening to anyone, however, my mission here is peaceful, this I promise you."

One of the creatures, who Dillon could sense was also an empath, said to the others "He speaks truth, he came in good faith and holds no ill intent."

The creatures seemed to take that one at his word.

Dillon then said "It seems we speak the same language, that's surprising, and makes things easier."

The creature who had just spoken responded, "Actually, we do not, however our kind all posses a gift that allows all to understand us as if we are speaking their language and for us to understand them as if they are speaking ours… sort of an inbuilt universal translator."

Dillon, "Well, that's helpful… I'm here to request the return of the people who have been sent before me. This is not a demand as we know we don't hold the power here, this is only a request."

The creature, "We are not holding them prisoner, they are welcome to return to your world. Although I doubt any of them will choose to, they each fell in love with one of our own and decided to stay here with them, multiple of them having already had children."

During this discussion the creature seemed to be leading Dillon somewhere, the archers having already left this creature alone with Dillon. Dillon was following along due to the fact that this creature had no ill intent.

Dillon, "Wait a minute, I just realized, I kind of forgot some common etiquette.. the exchanging of names. I'm Dillon Butch Witzenheimer, may I have your name?"

The creature, "I'm called Seeker, for I can see into someone's intentions."

Dillon, "Well Seeker, I'm sorry, but how could some of them already have children? I was told that they sent the first of them here only a week ago?"

Seeker, "Time works differently here, one of your days is one year here, so 7 of your days is 7 of our years. However our years are 1440 days each and each of your minutes happens to be one of our days. We don't do weeks or months though, we just say the day number and the year number. Year numbers are in reference to who is currently ruling the kingdom… as such when a new ruler takes over we start back at 0 as of the next year."

Dillon, "So does that mean you all die within roughly 4 of our months… or would it be less due to the fact that that's based on years rather than days?"

Seeker, "Actually, we don't understand the logic behind it, but both us and your kind seem to age at the same speed regardless of which world they end up in. we function and move at a faster speed while somehow aging at the same speed… the only exception seems to be children, who age 1 year's worth per year they are in whichever world they are growing up in… child simply meaning having not yet physically matured. We consider a child an adult once they have completed their last growth spurt… this does not always happen at the same age, but with our kind, as well as yours when you are here, it is obvious when it's complete."

Dillon, "How's that?"

Seeker, "I don't know if you've noticed yet but your ears are pointed, like mine. Children don't have pointed ears whereas adults do… none have lived over 25.5 years w/o gaining pointed ears if they live in our world."

Dillon first reaches up realizing what seeker said is true, then says, "So that's how you tell the difference so easily, what about in the womb?"

Seeker, "In the womb the child is born in roughly 960 days, give or take 20 days."

At this point in the conversation they arrive outside a hut of some sort, Dillon guessing it's some sort of residence.

Seeker, "I lead you here to let you meet each of those who came through, inside is the first one who came through."

After that the seeker lead Dillon to each of those who had come before him. Each of those people confirmed with Dillon that they wish to stay in this world and gave him their confirmation codes so the scientists would know that Dillon actually spoke to each of them. Right after leaving the last of them, when he was about to head to the place whereas he would be able to return to the human world he sensed that there was something terribly wrong.

Dillon, "Seeker, I sense something is wrong, very wrong, where would we need to go to find out what it is, as it should definitely be something known to those important."

Seeker, "How do you know something is wrong, I sense nothing."

Dillon, "It's not something that could be sensed by sensing emotions nor the energies of people, you would need to either have a prophetic gift or be able to sense the earth's energy… both are true for me."

The seeker lead him to where the king would be found. When they arrive they discover that the princess seemed to be trying to pull a sword from a stone.

Seeker, "There must be something big happening, we only hold the sword pulling ceremony whenever something very bad is happening, something bad enough that we don't feel like we can likely deal with it alone."

Dillon, "What's with this sword pulling ceremony, the sword ain't magical is it?"

Seeker, "We honestly don't know, all we know is the legend of the sword. The legend reads 'When all hope is lost, a hero shall carelessly remove the sword from the stone… this hero shall lead all to victory over a great evil, the likes of which has never been seen nor shall ever be seen again.' With this legend many try to pull the sword in times of peril, hoping to be this hero."

Dillon, "If you couldn't do it without the sword, how could you do it with the sword? Unless it holds some power to enable you to do so, I doubt you could."

The seeker shruged.

Dillon, "Seeker? Is there any specific decorum I need to know about to speak with the princess and king?"

Seeker, "Other than just the basic respect that is expected by everyone, no."

Dillon then walked towards the princess.

Dillon, "Forgive me your Highness, your Majesty, pardon my interruption. I am Dillon Butch Witzenheimer, a Human. I have a prophetic gift and realized their was something wrong, something big… would you be so kind as to inform me as to the problem, I may be of assistance."

Princess, "What could an outsider like you do, it's not like you could pull out this sword."

The princess gestured at the sword while stepping back, Dillon then casually grabbed the sword.

Dillon, "This sword?"

He then pulled out the sword as if by accident.

Dillon, "Whoops, umm… it seems I can pull it out?"

Many gasps were heard from the crowd. The princess's jaw dropped in an uncouth manner.

After this the King enlisted Dillon's help with ridding them of the tyrant known as Malevolor. He decided to trick this tyrant into being captured by luring him with what would sound like false promises, while making no promises. And with the meeting being set up with the knowledge that Dillon knew of weapons that could destroy an entire country to the extent where they would have no hope of rebuilding, Malevolor was more than willing to meet with Dillon.

Dillon, "If you come with me it would be possible for you to get your hands on something known as a nuclear bomb. This bomb is a weapon so powerful that you could destroy their entire country to the extent whereas they would have no hope of rebuilding anytime soon."

Malevolor, "That sounds too good to be true, what's the catch?"

Dillon, "Well, you would have to come to my world to get the bombs."

Malevolor, "And why would you help me?"

Dillon, "It never hurts to get in good with the winning side."

Malevolor decided to go with Dillon. When they got to the place Dillon used a device he received from the scientists to send them a signal. Malevolor thought the signal was only letting them know to power up the device, however the signal was for the purpose of letting the scientists know he'd met with a hostile party that was joining him in the other world.

When they arrived in the Human world guards immediately captured Malevolor.

Malevolor, "You betrayed me? You lied to me?"

Dillon, "Betrayed, no, I was working for the royal family the whole time… Lied, no, I only stated possibilities and necessities, never promised anything. Oh, and I also stated the fact that 'it never hurts to get in good with the winning side.' It's your own fault that you misunderstood my words and believed I'd ever help you. Do you even recognize what I wear on my hip?"

Malevolor, "Wait, you are their hero… I'm so stupid, I should have known."

Security Guard, "Mr. Witzenheimer, who is this and what have they done for you to consider them hostile?"

Dillon, "This is one known as Malevolor, Malevolor has through violence and fear concurred many of the lands of the kingdom for which we transported to. Known to torture into submission all who oppose, and if they still won't submit, starve them to death, giving them only water until they die."

Security Guard, "Then they shall definitely never be allowed to return."

Scientist, "What about the others, where are they?"

Dillon, "There is a major time dilation that causes one minute here to be one day there, they have all chosen to stay there… Here is my proof that I spoke to each and every one of them, and if you trust me and my gift, know that they chose this path themselves."

Dillon then handed the scientist all the codes and messages. He then was granted permission to return to the other world to let the royals know that the evil one had been dealt with.

Dillon let the princess know who embraced him as a thanks. She then lead an army to deal with his minions, who, once the realized Malevolor was no where to be found simply surrendered. After that Dillon got to know those creatures, he realized they called themselves Atomois. Him and the princess ended up falling in love. He found out shortly before their first kiss that an Atomois' first kiss is considered sacred. The person which an Atomois shares their first kiss with is considered to be their lifelong partner & their energies are shared in a way that those sensitive to things like aura, chi, or ones em field would know that they have shared such a kiss.

A grand wedding was planned for 2 years of their time away, 48 hours in human world time. Dillon got permission from the scientists to invite his family to be picked up to join him for his wedding, and then texted them invites. About 50% of them joined him. He then stayed with his wife, who was now queen, in the other world.

The End?
