Milo wasn't there when I woke up. It looked like he hadn't come in all night. I didn't even notice him leaving. His bed was so comfortable that I slept through the night.
I got out of bed and headed to the balcony in time to see the sun rising. There was a warm orange glow in the sky that was picture-perfect.
The cold air hit my body. Even Milo's shirt wasn't enough to stop the cold. I hugged my body and enjoyed the scenery. In the distance, all I could see were trees, flowers, and green pastures.
It was like Milo's estate was located in a forested area.
A knock on the door startled me. I opened the door for Alma and two maids behind her. One was carrying breakfast and the other one was just standing there.
Alma looked in her direction and she rushed inside Milo's room. I watched as she started to make the bed and clean up—not that it was dirty anyway.
