Message From Author | Where Do We Go From Here?

Hello everyone! NotRuinex here. I've taken a very long break from writing recently, and to be honest, that is mostly due to reasons out of my control. As it stands right now, I am not entirely happy with this story, and that is entirely my fault. When I first started writing, this story was originally just some kind of joke or silly activity to take up my time, as well as having no writing experience whatsoever. Since then, I've really fleshed out this world and its story, and it has truly bloomed into something that I would love to nurture and be proud of. Firstly, I apologize for leaving things off like this in the middle of Arc II, but I promise you things will be better in the future regarding this story. This announcement is being made for several reasons, but the biggest one, is to say that I will no longer be updating this light novel-- For now! I believe this story is something that can be great, and a project that I can take a large amount of pride in, but right now, it just isn't up to the standard I'd like it to be. Now I can't guarantee that any of you actually make it far into my story, far enough to even read this message, but for those of you who do, you have my deepest thanks and respect.

Now for the big question, What now?... Well, writing right now is hard to say the least, and way more than mildly frustrating. The biggest reason for that? My keyboard. The damn thing is practically falling apart and I'd be lucky if some of my keys even work when I want them to, even writing this announcement has taken me far longer than I'd like to admit. Beyond that, I have started to reach a point where things get hard to explain, this is due to Arc I lacking very important information about the world and its power system, so yes, I am aware that certain parts are confusing. That is why I have decided to really plan ahead this time, starting with a rebrand. Obviously, the title for this story is more than intimidating, and the story is no less. I'd like to rename this light novel, and take an even bigger step-- Changing the entire story itself. No longer will this story be one of taboo and a wild, messy timeline. Arc I was rushed and threw things at you without giving time to absorb it all in, and that is the first mistake of many that this story holds. Why am I bringing up all this stuff and talking about the rename? Because it brings me to the second point of this announcement. Sometime in the near future, Arc I will be entirely rewritten from the ground up, with a whole new direction, and will be extended far beyond the 9 chapters that it originally consisted of.

What will the new story bring to the table you may ask? Arc I will delve deeper into the worlds lore and bring many new features and abilities into the verse. You can expect the main storyline to be generally the same, with Arc I remaining mostly within Cataphrania, and Arc II leading into Rantari. (All current chapters of Arc II will also be rewritten). You can also expect to see more in depth usages for magic and weapons. For example, no more basic punchy, throwy magic style, and instead show more complicated martial arts and far more weapons that incorporate magic into the mix. I will also expand upon the very little usage of magic artifacts and talismans. This includes things like staffs, seals, and even tattoos that can enhance an individuals magic power, along with many other usages. I make this decision because the fights and combat so far are just really basic and, to be honest, boring. I'm hoping this will spice things up a bit and just make the whole writing and reading process more fun. Another major change will be the love interest, for obvious reasons. The main cast will remain the same, and with that knowledge I'm sure it's not hard to guess who the new lucky lady will be. I will also be slowing things down, since I found the introduction to the Embodiments, literally the main villain group, to be way too quick. Which is where the new content will come in, with revamped fights and familiar opponents, such as a certain beast manipulating fellow. And don't worry, Hiroshi will also get some more light, but don't expect me to fill you in on his powers any more than I already have, I like a bit of speculation.

I know I've talked so much, and my keyboard is screaming at me, so I will take my leave for now. Again, I deeply apologize for leaving things off in Arc II right before it got interesting, and I will make up for that, I promise. I have no idea when this revamp will happen, but I assure you it wont be too long. The revamp will be a whole different project, and you will be able to find it on my WebNovel profile, so consider giving me a follow, if that's even how that works. That means that this story will remain up and accessible, in case any of you would like to come back and read it for whatever reason. Anyways, for one last time...
