Hashirama couldn't have imagined it. With just the most basic of his powers, he instantly defeated Sarutobi Hiruzen.
If Hiruzen's strength was truly this meager, what gave him the confidence to act so self-assured just moments ago?
After all, Hashirama hadn't even used techniques like Advent of a World of Flowering Trees, Wood Dragon Technique, Wood Human, True Several Thousand Hands, or Sage Art: Gate of the Great God.
Tobirama let out a faint scoff, his expression bordering on disdain.
His naturally carefree older brother always failed to grasp the vast chasm that separated his abilities from those of other shinobi.
"Hypocrisy and deceit—this is your tenth sin!"
Orochimaru's voice resounded in the area, listing out every one of Sarutobi Hiruzen's crimes.
The crowd, initially stunned by Hashirama's display of power, snapped back to reality at Orochimaru's sharp declaration.
"He's too strong! So this is the power of the God of Shinobi?"
"No wonder he ended the Warring States era. To instantly defeat a Kage-level shinobi with a Bloodline Limit of such magnitude—it's terrifying!"
"In front of these two Hokage, how could Hiruzen shamelessly call himself the strongest?"
Amid the murmurs of doubt and awe, Sarutobi Hiruzen closed his eyes in despair. Bound by the Wood Release, he couldn't even attempt suicide. All he could do was feign death in silence.
Having achieved his immediate goals, Orochimaru controlled Hashirama, setting him in motion once more.
"Orochimaru, what are you planning?" Tobirama asked in a low voice, his tone sharp.
Licking his lips with a serpentine grin, Orochimaru replied, "Why, I'm going to take this opportunity to destroy Konoha, of course. A decayed system like this has no right to persist."
Hashirama and Tobirama's expressions hardened simultaneously.
While they didn't care about Orochimaru's vendetta against Hiruzen, the destruction of Konoha was another matter entirely.
"Brother, can you break free from the control of Edo Tensei?" Tobirama asked hopefully.
Hashirama shook his head, his face calm. "The control exerted by this technique is strong. I can only unleash about half of my usual power. Breaking free isn't an option."
Hearing this, Tobirama grew visibly anxious.
If they couldn't break free from the Edo Tensei's control, who in Konoha could possibly stop them?
Hashirama, on the other hand, remained unbothered, letting out a hearty laugh.
"Tobirama, we're already dead. These matters should be left for the living to deal with."
Frustrated by Hashirama's carefree attitude, Tobirama could only sigh in exasperation.
...
Meanwhile
In the center of the area, a group of shinobi, including the Raikage and Tsuchikage, began to retreat.
Watching their leaders flee, the remaining shinobi from other villages quickly followed suit.
Within moments, only Konoha's shinobi remained in the vicinity.
"Damn it! Orochimaru, that despicable snake, why take it out on the village?"
"Exactly! It's all Hiruzen's fault, and he's already paid the price for his crimes!"
"We're victims too!"
"Is this the end for Konoha? With the First and Second Hokage working together, who could possibly stop them?"
The despair on the faces of Konoha's shinobi deepened as they recalled Hashirama and Tobirama's overwhelming power, capable of subduing the warring clans of an entire era.
Amid the clamor, someone shouted, "Don't forget—we have Mirai-sama!"
"That's right! If anyone can do it, it's Mirai-sama!"
"Are you serious? Mirai might be strong, but stronger than the First and Second Hokage? That's Wood Release we're talking about!"
As the voices of doubt and hope mingled, Namikaze Minato stepped forward, frowning as he addressed Uchiha Mirai.
"Mirai, I can take on the Second Hokage. I might not win, but I can hold him off."
Uchiha Shisui echoed the sentiment, "Mirai, I'll fight alongside you."
"Count me in!"
"Us too!"
Looking at Minato, Shisui, and the other clan members, Mirai simply shook his head, his expression calm.
"There's no need for unnecessary sacrifices. You all should retreat with the others. I can handle this alone."
"But—"
"With great power comes great responsibility."
Hearing the unwavering resolve in Mirai's voice, the Konoha shinobi were filled with admiration.
They couldn't help but glance at Hiruzen's motionless form, wishing they could drag him over to witness what true leadership looked like.
"Go now," Mirai urged, waving them away.
This was a perfect opportunity to cement his reputation, and he intended to seize it alone.
Once everyone retreated, Hashirama broke through the barrier with a burst of Wood Release.
Seeing Mirai standing alone, Tobirama scoffed. "An arrogant Uchiha brat. Do you think you can stop us by yourself?"
Mirai merely smirked and beckoned with a single finger. "Come find out."
The gesture infuriated Tobirama, who immediately formed hand seals.
"Water Release: Water Severing Wave!"
A high-pressure stream of water capable of slicing through solid rock surged toward Mirai.
Boom!
A shield of bone suddenly appeared, blocking the attack effortlessly.
"Is that... Shikotsumyaku?!" Tobirama's eyes widened in shock.
This was the Kekkai Genkai of the Kaguya clan from Kirigakure. How did an Uchiha possess it?
"Half-blood?"
Mirai ignored Tobirama's stunned expression, lowering his bone shield.
"Second Hokage, if that's the best you've got, don't embarrass yourself."
Recovering, Tobirama launched another attack.
"Water Release: Water Dragon Biting Explosion!"
A massive water dragon roared as it charged toward Mirai.
With a slight motion, golden sand poured from the gourd at Mirai's waist, forming a wall that blocked the attack.
Crash!
Water splashed everywhere, drenching Tobirama as he stared in disbelief.
First Shikotsumyaku, and now Magnet Release?
"Is this brat's entire lineage a mix of Bloodline Limits?!"
