Snap!
Crack!
Boom!
With a mere thought, Mirai shattered the wooden arms entwining his Susanoo. The fully-formed Susanoo stood towering, its sheer size making the massive arena—designed to hold tens of thousands—feel cramped and insignificant.
Seeing this familiar yet overwhelming sight, Hashirama couldn't hide his astonishment. Having spent a lifetime locked in rivalry and camaraderie with Uchiha Madara, he knew the Mangekyō Sharingan's power all too well.
Yet here stood another Uchiha, wielding what could only be described as divine strength.
And so young…
There was no time for Hashirama to ponder further. The colossal Susanoo raised its leg and stomped down with devastating force.
Boom!
The wooden shield crafted through Hashirama's Wood Release shattered instantly. Without access to his most potent techniques—Wood Human, Wood Dragon, or the True Several Thousand Hands—Hashirama was left retreating, a shadow of his former might in the face of Mirai's overwhelming power.
His body moved instinctively, leaping back to create distance.
"Kamui."
With the ripple of Mirai's Sharingan, Hashirama's body abruptly split in two, severed cleanly as though by an invisible blade.
Mirai dismissed his Susanoo, his form now enveloped in a golden, translucent chakra. In an instant, he appeared before Hashirama.
"Seal!"
Hashirama's Edo Tensei-reanimated body froze, immobilized entirely. The battle was over.
Realizing his mission was complete, Orochimaru silently vanished in a flicker, deactivating the Edo Tensei technique.
Tobirama stood motionless, his expression cold and unreadable as he closed his eyes. Hashirama, however, gazed at Mirai with a look of contentment.
"Your name is Mirai, isn't it?" Hashirama asked warmly. "The Uchiha clan has finally produced someone who can truly be acknowledged by all. Your strength is remarkable, and you've saved the village…"
"Promise me this: Become Hokage. Lead the village forward."
"I see a shadow of an old friend in you," he continued, his voice tinged with nostalgia. "Carry on the hopes he left unfulfilled."
Mirai smiled faintly. "First Hokage, we'll meet again soon enough."
"Huh?"
Before Hashirama or Tobirama could respond, both vanished into nothingness, leaving only fading traces of their chakra.
The crowd, which had been watching from a distance, began to surge forward.
Konoha's shinobi were ecstatic.
"Mirai-sama is incredible! He defeated the First and Second Hokage so easily!"
"Even the First Hokage, with his Wood Release, couldn't stand against him. Mirai's strength is truly godlike!"
In stark contrast to the jubilant Konoha shinobi, the faces of Onoki, A, and the others were grim.
If Uchiha Mirai's power was so overwhelming, the ninja world would inevitably tip in Konoha's favor. For the other villages, the future seemed bleak.
As the crowd pressed closer, Mirai raised a hand. The area instantly fell silent.
His gaze fell on Hiruzen Sarutobi, still bound nearby.
"All of today's calamities stemmed from him," Mirai declared coldly.
"Secret human experiments, persecuting the village's heroes, suppressing the clans, abusing power for personal gain, betraying allies, being harsh internally yet spineless externally, driving away Konoha's strongest, abandoning his role as Hokage to save himself, and hypocritically clinging to fame…"
Mirai listed Hiruzen's crimes, his voice rising with each accusation. Finally, he turned to the crowd and demanded, "Tell me, does someone like this deserve to be Hokage?"
"No! No! No!" Konoha's shinobi shouted, their voices unanimous and fervent.
Letting the crowd vent their anger, Mirai finally raised a single finger.
Whoosh!
A miniature Rasenshuriken materialized at his fingertip, its size no larger than an eye.
"Go."
With a flick of his hand, the Rasenshuriken soared towards the Hokage Rock in the distance.
Boom!
A deafening explosion shattered the air, and the carved visage of Hiruzen Sarutobi was obliterated, leaving only rubble behind.
The shinobi cheered wildly.
"That traitor doesn't deserve to have his face on the Hokage Rock!"
Mirai's voice rang out above the cheers. "Today, as Leader of the Konoha Police Force, I strip Hiruzen Sarutobi of his title as Hokage!"
"Kill him! Kill him!"
"Make him pay for all the lives he destroyed!"
Amid the crowd's furious chanting, Mirai dragged Hiruzen to the arena's central platform.
Hiruzen hung his head, his hands tied behind his back, his silence a stark contrast to the chaos around him.
He had never imagined this day would come—a day when he'd lose everything: his dignity, his position, his reputation.
And now even his face on the Hokage Rock was gone, a symbol that his entire reign would be erased from history.
This pain was far worse than death.
Mirai stepped behind him, raising a blade of bone high.
"Third Hokage, wasn't it your favorite pastime to preach your ideals? Don't worry. I'll make sure your deeds are immortalized in the academy textbooks. People will remember you—for all the wrong reasons."
Hiruzen trembled. "You're ruthless, Mirai!"
But Mirai simply smirked. "Victory and defeat are all that matter. If you'd won, my fate wouldn't have been any kinder."
Swish!
The blade fell, severing Hiruzen's head. It rolled across the platform before coming to rest in the dust. His lifeless body collapsed, blood pooling beneath it.
"The villain is dead. Our village will only grow stronger from here."
"For now, I'll assume temporary leadership over the village," Mirai announced. "This Chūnin Exam is officially over. Everyone, return to your respective homes."
As the crowd began dispersing, their excitement and awe palpable, only a few remained behind: Shisui Uchiha, Hiashi Hyuga, and a handful of others.
Hiashi stood before Hiruzen's corpse, tears brimming in his eyes.
"Brother, I've avenged you…"
After giving a few final instructions, Mirai dismissed them, leaving the arena empty save for himself and another figure—a hooded Fugaku Uchiha.
Mirai stepped forward, his expression cold as he addressed the older man. "Fugaku, can your eyes finally see the truth now?"
