Shortly after the Three Kage Summit concluded, the Land of Fire's borders faced simultaneous attacks from the Land of Lightning, the Land of Earth, and the Land of Water.
However, Konoha had long been prepared for such an eventuality.
With the cooperation of Sunagakure's shinobi, the battlefields yielded surprising victories. Puppets and poisons devastated Iwa-nin, Kumo-nin, and Kiri-nin alike, leaving their forces in disarray.
Such outcomes incited curses from many enemy shinobi, accusing Sunagakure of cowardice and betrayal.
"They've sold their souls!" they shouted. "Instead of resisting their oppressors, they're helping them!"
But the shinobi of Sunagakure dismissed these accusations with disdain.
Although the alliance between the Land of Fire and the Land of Wind was relatively new, the benefits of this union were undeniable. Under Konoha's support, the Land of Wind had seen tremendous improvements in infrastructure.
Sunagakure, in particular, had transformed.
Ninjas were earning more, missions had become safer, and the overall quality of life had drastically improved.
The citizens of the Land of Wind felt a newfound sense of hope for the future—a future where their lives could only get better.
Thus, anyone threatening this newfound stability was seen as an irredeemable enemy.
On the battlefield, the shinobi of Sunagakure fought with even greater fervor than their Konoha counterparts.

Konoha Village, Hokage's Office
Uchiha Mirai reclined in a comfortable chair, a mountain of documents stacked high on the desk before him.
Standing on either side of the room were Namikaze Minato, Nara Shikaku, Hyūga Hiashi, Tsunade, and Uzumaki Kushina, among others.
While Mirai seemed at ease, the others wore grim, determined expressions.
Minato was the first to speak.
"Mirai, with Kumogakure, Kirigakure, and Iwagakure declaring war simultaneously, I believe it's time we deployed the Anbu to stabilize the situation."
"I may have lost the Nine-Tails," Kushina added, "but I can still contribute to the fight."
Hyūga Hiashi spoke with resolve. "Hokage-sama, the Hyūga clan is ready to sacrifice everything for the village."
One after another, the advisors shared their strategies for defense and counterattack.
Eventually, their eyes turned to Mirai, who appeared to be nodding off.
Minato hesitated before asking, "Mirai, what are your thoughts on our plans?"
Mirai stretched and yawned. "I don't think we need to overcomplicate things."
"I'll handle this war myself. Just like I did with Sunagakure. There's no need to worry."
The room fell silent, stunned by his words.
Did Mirai mean he intended to face the three great ninja villages alone?
It sounded absurd—but at the same time, it wasn't entirely impossible. Mirai's power was beyond comprehension.
"Relax," he continued with a wave of his hand. "This Fourth Great Ninja War—I'll take care of it myself."
And just like that, the high-stakes meeting ended in anticlimactic fashion.
As Mirai left the office, Minato and the others exchanged glances, their expressions conflicted.
This wasn't the leadership style they had experienced under Hiruzen Sarutobi.
Under Hiruzen, the Hokage would rally the troops with fiery speeches about the Will of Fire, sending others to the front lines while staying far from the battlefield himself.
But Mirai? He led by action, bearing the burden himself.
Nara Shikaku sighed, feeling a sense of relief he hadn't known in years.
"With a Hokage like this, it's hard not to feel at ease."
Since Mirai's rise to power, strategies and tactics had become almost unnecessary.
All they needed to do was follow the overwhelming force he brought to bear.
Minato and Hiashi nodded, their expressions filled with respect.
This was what it meant to be Hokage.

Land of Lightning, Kumogakure
A serene lake nestled among the mountains mirrored the sky.
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning streaked through the air, heralding the arrival of the Fourth Raikage, A.
Killer B, scribbling rhymes in a notebook, looked up and broke into a freestyle rap.
"Big bro's here to kill my vibe,
Every time I plan, I can't survive.
But this time's different—no more dread,
This fight'll leave my brother in shreds!"
"Stop rapping nonsense!" A snapped, his voice tinged with irritation.
"I'm not here to fight you, B."
B blinked, confused.
"Oh? What's up, big bro?"
A took a deep breath. "Uchiha Mirai has declared the Fourth Great Ninja War. Kumogakure is one of his targets."
"To protect the village, I'm releasing you."
Extending his fist, A said, "B, fight by my side again—like old times."
Killer B hesitated, then grinned.
"Big bro's bringing out the old routine,
But together, we'll make a killer team.
The future's grim, but here's the plan:
Let's take down Mirai—man to man!"
...
Kumogakure, Above the Village
Uchiha Mirai floated in the sky, gazing down at the shinobi bustling below.
A smirk played across his lips.
"Each one of them... another step closer to leveling up," he murmured.
The commotion below caught his attention. The shinobi had noticed his presence.
"It's him! That's Uchiha Mirai!"
"Enemy attack! Alert the Raikage!"
"Evacuate the villagers to the underground shelters!"
Ignoring the chaos, Mirai's voice boomed across the village.
"My name is Uchiha Mirai."
"I give you one minute to decide: Submit—or perish!"
