Chapter 5

He led me to a boss dungeon, and we played the same dungeon, repeatedly.

miseoynn: ugh, i hate this boss sm.

dam3yo: .. Why'd you suggest this specific dungeon then?

miseoynn: its the 1 that gives sm exp but i can barely dodge in here, theres NO space T_T

dam3yo: Sucks to be you. You're supposed to be the DPS here after all.

miseoynn: whatever, whatever. you play paladin so weird.

dam3yo: STFU, and eat up my heals. you're always low after we fight.

miseoynn: i wouldn't be if this boss wasn't buffed. dungeons have to be nerfed in dmg at least!! >:C

dam3yo: Keep telling yourself that, loser.

miseoynn: HEY.

After playing the boss dungeon for the 51th time, we decided that was enough. I checked my inventory and noticed I had a new item. I hovered over it, widening at the rarity. It was legendary!

Real question is.. what do I do with it? Maybe I'll ask on the game's forum.

miseoynn: ughhhh.. we've been at that dumb boss dungeon for a while now. what lvl r u at? ;3

dam3yo: I'm capped at level 150 since I have to do an ascension quest.. but I'd be level 176 or something?

miseoynn: great job newbie ^^ do ur ascension quest, u chose the paladin class right? why do u use a gun instd of a sword?

dam3yo: Fighting from a long-distance is way better.

miseoynn: no kidding.. you shot from so far away and perfectly hit the target.. 

dam3yo: I got a lot of practice from first-person shooter games.

miseoynn: ohhhh.. ur one of those.. 

What is that supposed to mean!? 

dam3yo: Look at how you play! You put all your stat points into agility and crits! You chose a tank class, you're not supposed to be THAT fast!

miseoynn: its sooOoOO much more fun, i can avoid like crazy without worrying about my def~! and besides, i love beating the meta. ^-^

dam3yo: Sounds so much like you..

miseoynn: yhyh, hurry and lvl up so we can grind together and stuff. acc, r u in a guild?

dam3yo: Nope, I'm not in a guild. Most guilds don't accept people under level 200.

miseoynn: well since i'm generous n stuff, why doncha join my guild? :3

I clicked onto the guild above his head.

Requirements: Must be above level 200! Competitive guild, must take part in PVP leaderboards, and guild tournaments!

dam3yo: .. I just checked out your guild. It also needs people over level 200. I'm going to do my ascension quest.

miseoynn: WAIT NO. this is a SPECIAL offer just 4 u!! ur my hubby >_<

dam3yo: .. I'm actually going to kill you.

miseoynn: ?! WHY DID U LEAVE??

dam3yo: I'm doing my quest without having you interrupt me.

miseoynn: WHAT. I DONT INTERRUPT!! 

miseoynn: 2UIQDIAUWHIDUHA

I shut his chat, and leaned back into my chair.

Hopefully that shut him up for good.

I finally finished my ascension quest.. I kept getting one-shotted by the final boss. After learning its attack pattern, I came up with a move set that could counter its attack.

I'm level 180 now..! I calculated the math wrong.. I was 4 levels off.

I yawned, shutting down 'Eternal Dawn'.

It's getting late, I'll eat the snacks I brought.

I jolted as I heard someone knock on the door.

"Coming!" I yelled as quietly as I could since it was late. Wait. Who is knocking at this time..?

I open the door.

"Hyeong.. mama told me you had to play with me, no matter what!"

The little boy whined, until he looked up startled.

"Ah, I think you got the wrong room.. who's your brother?"

He hesitated, clenching his fist around the teddy bear he was holding onto.

"Mama told me not to talk to any strangers.."

He's been raised really well.. but, I have to lead him back to his brother..

"How about this? I'll become your friend, then we're not strangers, right?"

I handed him my pinky.

".. Yeah.." He said, shy, linking his pinky with mine.

"I'll lead you to your brother. What's their name?" I held the boy's hand.

"My hyeong is Seo Min." 

.. This is my neighbour's younger brother?

"We're on the right floor, he's opposite my door. He's in room 702, not 701." 

"Ohh, mama told me it was room 701."

Makes sense as to why he knocked on my door. His eomma told him the wrong directions..

"Here's your brother's door. I'll carry you so you can hit the doorbell."

I lifted him up, putting him on my hip and supporting his back so he could ring the doorbell.

"Who is it?"

He peered from behind the door, and his face dropped seeing me.

"You stalker-! Leave!"

"Stalker-?"

"He's not a stalker, he's my friend!"

I stood there shocked, more terrified of how Seo Min would respond to his little brother's answer.

".. You're a little brat Seo Mio. Who told you to talk to strangers?"

He ruffled his younger brother's head, making his hair messy.

"This guy can't be trusted, he's a stalker." He pointed at me.

"I'm not a stalker..?"

"Typical for a stalker to deny that they're stalking."

How else are you supposed to defend yourself!? You have to be kidding me?!

"Look, I just came here to bring your little brother. I think I deserve to have a little bit of respect."

"Whatever, Seo Mio inside. Now."

"No! I'm not leaving my friend alone!"

He cried, and cling onto my neck.

"Ah.. uhm. I can come inside if you want? I'll help him calm down."

I laughed nervously, to which his eyebrows furrowed.

"Go for it. Leave when he falls asleep."

He left the door open and walked further inside.

I walked inside, shutting the door behind me.

He's really angry at me, isn't he?
