Garet has spent his life believing his mother abandoned him, a painful story told by his powerful, wealthy father. Sent abroad to study, he grows up detached from his roots and family bonds, adopting a life of distance and control. When his father demands he return to the English countryside to “settle down,” Garet reluctantly agrees but with an agenda of his own.
Determined to uncover the truth about his mother’s disappearance, Garet begins his search, driven by memories and lingering questions. In the countryside, he encounters Hazel, a warm-hearted country girl who embodies everything he thought he left behind. Despite their differences, she helps him uncover pieces of the past, sparking something he never expected a feeling of home.
As the truth unfolds, Garet finds himself torn between the life he’s known and the blossoming love he’s found. He begins to wonder if he can forgive the past and embrace a future in a place he never thought he belonged. Here, with Hazel’s help, he discovers the love he never knew.
Am really intrigued by this author, I am more interested in the whole English language and the ancient vibe, plus the characters are well fitted. Am really look forward to seeing where the story leads us.
