Chapter 40 - The Light!

In the open meadow, Arthur looked at the creature in amazement. This time, his lack of reaction was not due to indifference, he was amazed, he was genuinely speechless.

– Your mind games don't work with the Father. He knows that you are afraid of this war. You know that a worse war is coming, or have you forgotten? – the woman asked, narrowing her gaze.

Sighing, Arthur lowered his head. – I'm sorry for my arrogance, but it's not this war that I'm afraid of. I have concerns about Zeus, and about the coming of the Titans, that's why I need this victory...

– Home, now! – Arthur ordered.

The children ran to their homes as if their lives depended on it, and they really did.

The girl cried continuously in front of Arthur.

Looking at the girl, Arthur crouched down to her height. – What is your name, kid?

The girl got up from the ground, looking at the king. – ... – she tried to run away.

– Kara... – the orange-eyed girl replied.
