Chapter 50 - The Battle of the Gods! [3]

In the courtyard of the Chamberlain mansion, two groups had formed: Hera's group and Merlin's group. Hera was talking to her friends in the courtyard, while Victoria left the mansion with Kara in her arms, heading towards Merlin's group.

Allana, in a golden dress with her hair loose, crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow as she looked at Kara. – Who is that girl? – she asked, scrutinizing her.

Selena, in a white gi with unkempt hair and dark circles under her eyes, smiled at Victoria. – Ahh, it's your brother's adopted daughter. Didn't you know? – she asked, yawning.

Allana, Hera, Thalia, Morgan, Phoenix, Ambrose and Mayara were all surprised and shouted, looking at Selena. – WHAT?!

Merlin and her group looked at the six and began to laugh.

With veins on her face, Hera grunted. – That woman annoys me! – she grumbled, gritting her teeth.

"Exactly what I want you to do, be annoyed. Get into a competition with Merlin, make Arthur's life hell and he runs into my arms." Thalia thought with a smirk.

Looking at Selena with her jaw dropped, Allana exclaimed. – What do you mean daughter?! Why daughter?! Am I not enough?! – she questioned, crossing her arms.

Morgan, with her hand on her chin, looked at Selena. – It's not something Arthur would do, he's never shown interest in children... – she sighed.

With her mouth open, Alexia exclaimed. – Own!!! She is too cute...

With her arms crossed, Allana squeaked. – She's enough... – she said, looking away.

Ambrose and Phoenix Ashura, laughing at Allana, teased. – Are you jealous?

Allana grunted. – I'm not jealous!

...

The war was violent for the Union side, with arrows constantly raining down, mud making movement difficult, and Arthur's army being well-trained in martial arts with a high level of cultivation.

A few hours later, in the meadows of the town of Miragea, at the Union military camp.

Zeus, seated, wearing a white robe with jewels on his wrists, and a golden wreath on his head, looked at the Union soldiers. – This war should've ended! – he said, looking at Mara. – Why can these ants suppress two million men?! – he questioned, clenching his fists.

Mara, in uniform, looking at the battlefield, a vein appeared on her face. "Because you didn't let me make a plan!" she thought, avoiding eye contact with Zeus. – We, princes, are going to the battlefield. – she said, seeing the massacre.

Zeus, looking at the field with a smile. - I want that kid's head!

Poseidon, in a blue tunic with golden linen parts and jewels on his ears, wrists, and chest, stood behind Zeus with a golden trident. – Brother! – he exclaimed, making his presence felt.

The soldiers who went in front usually died first in a battle, but on the battlefield at Miragea, the scene was different for Arthur's soldiers.

Gubong, with a uniform and a sword in hand, dodged the slash aimed at his head and pierced an enemy's stomach. – Get up, soldier! – he ordered, raising his young soldier by his arm.

Windsom, in a uniform, swung his spear and cut the necks of five soldiers. – These weaklings will only tire us out, nothing more. – he said, looking at Gubong.

A group of giants approached. – What did you say, little one? – the leader of the group asked, looking at him with a smile.

Bedesvire, looking at Windsom, squeaked. – Brother, did you have to talk?! Look at their size! – he said, grunting.

At Arthur's camp, Arthur watched the movements of the princes in the Union camp with a smile. – Everything is going as planned... – he whispered.

Andromeda, adjusting her armor, next to the king, asked. – Isn't it better to prepare to go into battle? – she was curling her hair.

Arthur turned his head and looked her up and down. – Go change your clothes! Ask one of the soldiers from Jianghu to give you a uniform! – he ordered, signaling with his hand for her to leave. – Fast! – he commanded.

"Is this child commanding the queen to leave with a wave?" Cassilda thought, looking at an Amazon. – Bring the uniform the king asked for! – she ordered.

The queen, looking at Arthur with a golden breastplate made of adratium, a skirt protected by adratium, a shield on her back, and a crown on her head, asked innocently. – What's the problem with my armor?

– That armor makes you even more beautiful, I don't want to have a stepfather! – Arthur teased, looking at the battle with a serious face.

Andromeda, surprised, looked at Cassilda and then at Arthur. – Don't tease your old mother. We are in a war Arthur. Who's going to look at me? – she asked with a smile.

"He can make jokes in these situations?" the general thought, smiling. – Don't get upset with me, queen, but it's clear you've never been in a battle of this caliber. It's no wonder the other kings didn't enter, and I don't believe they will even enter the field... – he said, laughing.

Arthur turned and put his hands on the queen's cheeks. "I had no choice... I couldn't take the girls, and I didn't want to take the queen. But the soldiers needed it, she gives a warm touch to the camp and boosts morale. This is why I need a wife, unfortunately..." he thought, looking at her. – You are very precious, I would sacrifice peoples for you! – he said, staring at her.

This seemed more like a threat than a demonstration of affection.

Looking at the king, Andromeda smiled. – I'm the one who should say these things, not the other way around... – she whispered, lowering her head.

Some Amazons, behind Cassilda, blushed. – Own... The king is so loving... – they murmured to each other.

Cassilda, smiling, looked at them out of the corner of her eyes. – You youngsters are amazing, is the king loving? You're so blinded by his beauty that begun to see things... – she whispered.

Arthur kissed the queen's forehead. – If you make me worried, I'll sweep this place! I'm going to kill everyone. I won't care if they're allies or not, only you and I will be standing at the end of the day, so don't let my eyes turn red! – he said, looking at her with a calm face and a slight smile.

Looking into his eyes, Andromeda began to tremble. "God... What am I supposed to say?!" she thought, trying to formulate words.

Looking at the king, Cassilda swallowed hard. "My God..." she thought. – Didn't I say? – she asked, looking at the young Amazons.

The king's and queen's bodyguards exchanged glances and swallowed hard.

Andromeda, looking at the king, looked away and smiled nervously. – W-What an excellent way to encourage me, to put everyone's life on my shoulders... – laughed, with sweat running down her forehead, she looked at the general.

Arthur, looking at her, exclaimed. – I'm serious!

Minutes later, on the battlefield, Gubong, with the marks of Light shining on his arms, raised the head of a giant. – COME ON MEN! FOR OUR CHILDREN! FOR THE FUTURE!! – he shouted, looking at the soldiers.

Arthur's army, shining, rushed towards the Union's army. – AHHH!! – The screams could be heard from miles away.
