Chapter 63 - Divine Cold War! [5]

Aphrodite looked at Dionysus with a smile on her face, but she didn't fool me. The small vein on her forehead told me what she really thought. "Is it because I want Arthur, or is he truly disgusting...? What was I thinking when I had sex with that...?" She looked him up and down with a mixture of disdain and regret.

Unlike me, Aphrodite, and the older gods, the younger gods laughed among themselves. It was the effect of Dionysus, similar to that of Aphrodite—to make people feel good.

Aphrodite put her big blue eyes on me. – Hermes, dear. Go straight to the point! Why did he summon the gods? What do you want? – she asked, crossing her legs.

The sucker had no shame on her face. I had to control my veins from bulging in anger. It was amazing how she had that effect on me. Since I froze my heart, my emotions became dull compared to others, but she still bored me.

My brother, Hermes, looked at me and sighed. – Aunt Hecate, please show us the situation on the battlefield... – he asked, looking away from me.

Hecate Olympus, one of the eldest, sat on the benches with a white tunic and gold jewelry on her body. She snaped her fingers and a large screen appeared in the center of the room, showing the situation in Miragea. Surprised, she shouted with her eyes wide open. – WHAT?! HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?!

Princess Eris, one of the younger goddesses, with a red tunic and long, voluminous black hair, stared at the screen with veins on her forehead. She stood up with the posture of someone who will explode with rage. – THIS IS ABSURD!! HOW IS OUR ARMY IN THIS SITUATION?! – she shouted as she saw the Union army being destroyed.

To be more precise, it was not Olympus' army. Our army would've annihalated those mortals.

Prince Helios, one of the ancient gods, sitting on his throne in the benches with his orange floating hair resplendent like the sun, and golden armor that covered his body leaving only his head exposed. He had bandages on his neck, the marks from his fight with Arthur had not yet healed. Looking at the gods, Helios descended to the center of the room with a rigid posture.

– Something I must testify to in front of everyone—this human is different! He is a threat to the existence of the Olympus dynasty. I witnessed it when the inferior tried to rip my head off... – he revealed, descending from the throne with fury in his eyes.

Dyonisius sobbed and slammed his hand on the table. – Of course you witnessed, sunflower! It would've been strange if you didn't notice him trying to rip your head off, ain't that right? – he teased, giggling.

Some nymphs and small gods laughed, but his jokes weren't able to soften the room's tension.

Nyx, the eldest of all present, in a tight black dress, with pale lifeless skin, a tied deep black hair and deep black eyes fixed on the screen, with an arrogant smile on her face. – Never will a human end Olympus! As long as I'm here, the name Olympus will stand firm! Zeus is the one who is still an arrogant and spoiled child as always. We could have ended this war, but he preferred to play with those little things! – she squeaked, resting her head on her hand.

Alecto Olympus, one of the fury triplets, my great-great-aunts. The righteous goddesses, Alecto was the most aggressive. With black hair braided into snakes, pale skin and a black dress, she had an intimidating appearance, mortals and immortals trembled before her. She was sitting on her throne, with veins on her face, and in a moment of fury, she broke the arms of her throne from squeezing too tightly. – I'm personally going to kill this human! We are from the Immortal Realm, we are gods! Let's kill all these inferiors!

Watching the gods argue, I was still processing Aphrodite's exploits. "I'm going to kill Aphrodite! This woman is dangerous. Of course, she wants Zeus to die! She wants to marry the Treadway and rule Olympus!" I thought, looking at her out of the corner of my eyes.

Morpheus, with a black and gold gi, disheveled hair, and dark circles, was sitting on his throne next to Nyx, Tyche, Enyo, Eris Hypnos, Hecate, Demeter, Hestia, Menoetius, Cratus, Ananke, Atropos, Bia, Nike and others. – You children talk too much. In the age of the late king, Chronus III, this human would not even have been born... – I interrupted the old man's arrogant speech.

Looking at Hermes, I held out my hand for everyone to be silent. – We've had enough discussion! – I started, and my voice echoed in the room, making everyone fall silent.

Nyx put her black gaze on me. – Very well, daughter... Why did you gather us here?! – she questioned. I understood it more as a threat, not a question.

"Stupid gods, clinging to pride and not realizing that this human is a threat! Are you so dumb that you don't realize that the throne of Olympus is at stake?!" I thought, looking at her. – Thank you, grandmother! – I thanked her, and looking at all of them, I released my aura of dominance over everyone and the room turned icy cold.

It was simple math. If Zeus and Poseidon die, the mortal would get control over the nymphs, and all other benefits that Poseidon's trident give. And besides, Zeus is the great guardian of Olympus. Losing Zeus means that Olympus is in the mortal's hands, and he has already shown that he wants to end the gods.

This war's purpose was to find out who will rule Olympus. If the mortal killed Zeus, it meant that he was stronger than everyone and would sit on the throne. Aphrodite had already realized this and wanted to marry him. But if Zeus lived and the mortal died, everything would go on normally.

Nyx tilted her head slightly, with veins on her forehead and a smile when she heard me say "grandmother".

– Everyone remembers this human, the one who beat me in a fight eleven years ago. – I started, but the gods began to murmur.

– Is he, her fiancé?! After all, is he the son of the Amazons?! – their murmurs almost made me lose to my anger.

Looking at them, I slammed the table in front of me, drawing everyone's attention. – Be silent! – I commanded, looking at all of them with no interest in their murmurs.

The gods fell silent and looked at me.

I had many titles, among which were: the divine ice princess, the wise goddess, the master, the goddess general, strategist, and engineer. I was not the eldest, but I had the respect that the former queen, Hera, had. I was feared by my father, my brothers, and even my uncles. And Nyx, the third in power level, treated me like a daughter.

With a face devoid of emotion, I said. – That mortal is not my fiancé! Not because I failed to keep my word, but because he refused to take on a destiny that I set for him! Therefore, he needs to die, but not only for this. He affronted the gods, dared to touch the daughters of the god king, hypnotized my younger sister, Hera II, and even kidnapped her, killed Apollo and Ares, and incited the beings of the mortal world against the god king....
