127. Royalty of Mirthendom

Nytri observes the carriage from the bushes, she learns the runes used in making the barrier since they are new to her. Nytri speaks with telepathy with her people, "I'm guessing the passengers are a princess and some nobleman."

Kael chuckles and speaks telepathically, "I say a small noble. The royal family must certainly have more protection that this."

Kaida rubs her chin, "It could be a rich private merchant, I hear a lot of gold inside." She perks her ears listening to clanging sounds.

Eryndor sniffs the air, "Expensive perfume, these guys are definitely rich. I think this is made from the violet flower…..I forget the name."

Kaida raises a brow at Eryndor, "You can tell the kind of flower use to make the perfume?!"

Lilia plays with her fingers nervously, "Guys, I think there're traces of death amongst them. This may not be their first time being attacked."

Kael observes the guards, "You're right, their armor seems to have dried blood on it. They probably faced more attacks before here."

Eryndor shrugs, "It could be a design." …..Silence….

Nytri speaks to them telepathically, "Eryndor dear, I think the speculations are out of hand." Eryndor squints his mouth playing with dirt with his feet. Nytri looks at the carriage, "Anyway the door is opening, let's just hope we don't have to get more involved with their matters than we already have. No survivors so everything is cool."

Eryndor is surprised, "Wait, you don't notice the spy spell watching us?" They all respond to Eryndor, "What spy spell?!" Eryndor sighs, "Right, Azurians. You guys can't detect spells of weaklings so this slipped right under your noses. Anyway, I dispelled it before they saw all of us. I think only Kael and I were seen."

"Is that why you were on the trees?" Lilia speaks and Eryndor nods.

The door of the carriage finally open, 2 people step out with one holding a baby. Nytri squints her mouth, "Something about this isn't right." Observes their dresses and the baby. The people are a male butler and a lady in expensive dress.

The butler walks over to Kael and bows his head, "Thank you kind sirs for helping us in our time of need. We are truly grateful." Kael nods, the butler points to his side. "This is princess Aliney of Mirthendom."

Nytri's thoughts, "How does the princess have a baby?" She perks her ears listening.

The butler continues, "Crown princess of Mirthendom." The princess smiles.

"Ohh!" Nytri's thought, "I'm still curious she's with a baby returning from another nation. Why travel with a baby?"

The princess looks up to Kaels face, "Thank you so much for helping us kind sirs…..May I ask a favor of you?"

Kael glances at Nytri and she shrugs, Kael looks at the princess. "You may."

Nytri turns around and starts to mimic the words of the princess and nature to the dot, it seems her prediction hidden effect was activated after she learned a lot about them from appraisal.

The princess speaks and Nytri's lips move just as the princess, "If it won't trouble you, would you be our escort for the remainder of our journey?" The butler continues and so dies Nytri, "We would compensate you for your time of course."

Kael seems to be in thought but he's actually asking Nytri about it. Nytri shrugs from the bushes, "Whatever, I could play knight of the king or princess at this point."

Eryndor glances in Nytri direction speaking telepathically, "Just how many role playing games do you want to play?"

The butler notices Eryndor's gaze and speaks, "Is there something over there?"

Kaida jumps forward in a chirpy mood, "INTRODU-" Eryndor smacks her on the head speaking through his teeth, "Not a competition!" Kaida holds her head as if she's been wronged.

Kael chuckles, "We're an entourage the princess of Azuria, she asked us to aid you while she waits for us."

"Princess?" The butler and princess Aliney exclaim, they turn to look in Nytri's direction and she walks out of the bushes to them.

Kael walks before Nytri and bows, "Princess Nytri of Azuria." The others also bow before Nytri. The people bowing to Nytri makes her look majestic with her trusty knights in shirts.

Nytri's thoughts, "WHAT THE HECK?! The whole princess thing back home was a sham to run from work!" Nytri puts on the demeaner of royalty, she had enough time to compose herself. Kael raises his head and grins like a devil at Nytri.

Princess Aliney walks to Nytri with a bow, "Pleasure to meet you, I'm Aliney." She chose to drop honorifics and seems too friendly to Nytri for some reason.

Nytri smiles, "Likewise." Nytri looks at the guards of the princess and the baby in her hands, "May I ask why your guards are so few in number?"

Princess Aliney looks down with a hint of sadness, "We've been ambushed multiple times on our way back. I went to study in Luminary Academy, but I realize I'm with child after arriving there." She chuckles. "I'm returning back for my husband to see his child during these holidays."

"That is wonderful." Nytri smiles.

Princess Aliney stands closer before Nytri, "Do you want to hold him?" She looks at Nytri with sparkly eyes.

Nytri is taken aback, "Why would you give your child to a stranger?!"

Princess Aliney smiles, "I don't see a reason to worry since it's you. You seem to know your way around with babies, would mind giving me some tips." She smiles warmly at Nytri.

Eryndor mumbles, "Yeah, mother of a 100…rather 250." Nytri glances at Eryndor and he whistles as if he's minding his own business.

"I do have experience with babies," Nytri speaks, "But not the ones you're familiar with." She smiles wryly. She recalls when Zephyr would try plucking Astrarigel's feathers off for fun and Kael hiding his 'stuff' after his business around the bunker. Lilia and Nyx would scare Kalean with ghost stories and Nytri had to comfort her to sleep, and Seren leaving her webs around places people rarely passed. Isa would steal Nytri's constructs whenever she looked away, she built a nuke once and Nytri had to cover it with her body so the bunker doesn't fall apart.

Nytri squints her mouth and looks at her people in thought, "Aren't I the most stressed-out mother ever? Even with my clones it was still hard, Kael acted like a spoiled kitty and Lucian would blend in with the walls taking days to find him."

Princess Aliney gives her baby to Nytri and is happy, "Please, join me in the carriage." She turns around and starts walking to the carriage pulling Nytri with her. The butler sighs and follows into the carriage. The guards take a while to get ready and they continue towards the capital.
