_Can't Forgive Her

"Can we talk?"

The person in question was none other than Catherine, who had a warm smile on her face.

However, in light of everything Kaene told me, I saw her smile as a mask.

Only the moon knows when she's going to take off that mask and show her true colors again.

Folding my arms in front of my chest, I arched an eyebrow before I asked. "Talk about what, ma'am? Did I do something wrong again? Am I being a burden to your plans?"

I made sure to sound as sarcastic as possible, my gaze cold and devoid of any kindness I might've displayed in the past few days.

Catherine paused, seeming surprised by my response. Well, she shouldn't be.

I scoffed, placing my hand on the rail as I continued walking. "No offense, ma'am, but I've had a long day today. And it's not even nine AM yet. I just want to go have a long bath and avoid any more drama." I said plainly.
