Chapter 72. Vas!!! (6)

Kim sees something shining in the corner of his eyes, the sword that Uma Michael dropped. Panting, he gritted his teeth harder and bite the side of his cheeks to numb the marks on his arm.

"Hey demon, what do the knight get if he kill the princess?"

"Ouu a riddle, I don't know, what do he got get?"

"The knight get beheaded, and so will you!"

Kim runs toward the sword, the demon seeing this tried to stops him by throwing out air slashes to cut him but Kim slides through the ground but it didn't last long so he got up and ran even faster.

The demon smile before charging to lunge towards Kim. He dashed towards Kim with frightening speed but Kim jumps and rolled in midair, dodging the demon's attacks.

Kim landed on his feet and slides to the sword, he grabs it and parry the demon's attacks just as it was about to hit him.

The tips of the sword flashes a silver color, Kim had already begun to strike the demon but only a bit.

"You have no idea what you're doing with that sword huh? You're swinging it williny-nilly."

The demon kick Kim thighs, making him kneel but not before Kim have cuts off the demon's leg.

"You do know I can regenerate right?"

The demon regrows his limbs then a second after that, he rapidly started moving all over the place.

Kim tried to keep tracks of the demon but he was going too fast, his eyes barely able to see the afterimages until—

The demon bumps into Kim and his horn impale Kim's left side.

"Guh-" blood stained drips from his side to his pelvis.

Seeing as this the only chance to land an attack on the demon, he raised both his sword forcefully. Striking down towards the demon it..

Kim fell down to the ground, his body slumped and hopeless. He took a deep breath but the demon pressed his head against the ground, he then begins to scratch Kim's cheeks, pulling it before it get cut.

"Any last words?" the demon asks and Kim barely manages to answer it.

"Three actually, Vas!!!!"

The demon was confused on why he would shout out someone name—

A huge fire ball came crashing into the demon, burning away his skins.

"W-what was that?" the air surrounding his started to become dense.

"This, mana… it's overwhelming!!!" afraid for his life, the demon sprint away but flames begin bursting out of the ground creating a firewall.

"Heh— that's the same move he did when he was fighting the Grembling.." Kim said.

The demon scares for his life look around hasty for any sights of exits or a way to escape. He felt the high pressure coming closer, the air became more denser.

"W-what is this?" he also felt that same pressure that he hate.

"Those kids.. they're gone?" He turned to look at Kim.

"They left you to die..?"

Kim chuckled to himself before passing out, the last words he managed to say was:

"With him around, losing isn't an option.."

The demon stares at Kim with the intent to kill so he dashed toward him ready to impale his heart, his eyes, his legs, throat, everything but before he could do so, he leapt back.

A bursting flame shots up near Kim's body, blocking him from the demon. The flame wall got smaller, it started to engulf the demon's body. The demon throws out countless of slashed toward the flame but it did nothing.

"Just where is this person? Is he even near us right now?!"

The demon nervously chuckled to himself as he felt the flame becoming hotter, sharper, it pierce through him endlessly yet it is only an illusion.

The pressure seemed to be closing in as well as the well, with no way to escape, the demon resorted to one last thing in his arsenal.

Cutting himself in a different million of small pieces, he cuts off his left arm and a part of his brain's.

"As long as one of my brain is intact, then I will survive."

Wrapping the pieces of his body with his left arm, he placed it in the center of his palms. He bends and twists his claws like it was rubber over the small pieces, increasing his chance in survival.

He looked at Kim unconscious body and snarled at him, growling his sharp teeth's at him.

"If it wasn't for you, I would've added that little girl to my collection already. I knew I should have just kill you but someone got in the way.."

He scoffs before ripping out his right claws and wrapped it around the already protected ball made out of his flesh to add more protection.

"Don't worry, once I'm back, I will kill you.. and I will kill that ugly kid and that petite little girl.."

He throws his body parts at the fire meanwhile also throwing the rests of his body into the body, just for a small chance in surviving..

And with that—it became silent, so has the flame, the scorching fire begin to diminish in intensity.

Vas Allen ran as Uma Michael dragged him, with a face full of concern and anger, he let Kim got hurt again. Reaching the area, he look around, the flame die out, bloods and rubbles flowed the ground.

He looked at it more until he sees Kim lying down on his stomach, his body resting on the pavement. Vas Allen could sees the blood and marks he had sustain.

"Kim.. I didn't expect this would be how we met again.." Uma Michael and Luc Mugen saw that Vas Allen was frozen inside his mind, so they got his attention by lightly hitting his hand.

Vas Allen's shook his head, waking himself up before hovering his hand on Kim's injuries. He started to heal Kim's injures but he wasn't the best at it or rather, his healing only heal externally while for internal..

He puts Kim's unconscious body onto his shoulder, Luc Mugen and Uma Michael wanted to help but Vas Allen told them to rest, yes they have been heal by him, they still need to rest so that their injuries could heal fully.

Luc Mugen lowered his head in disappointment, disappointed in himself for not being stronger, tougher and better yet better..

Uma Michael seeing this reassured him by patting his back's.

"Don't worry, Kim told us… to leave him and get Vas, this was… Kim's decision.." she became silent and looked ahead with blankness expression, mixed with the uselessness that had happen, she did little to nothing to that demon.

Vas Allen hearing this sighed and relieved them that it was not their fault but rather—

"Me… I should've woken up but for some reason, I can't, only when you guys wake me up was when my body started to listen to me. For that, I'm sorry.."

"Dont apologize, it's not your fault." Uma Michael said with a faint smile, Luc Mugen nodded lightly.

With that, they continued to walked Luc Mugen finally happy that he had found Kim but sad that he couldn't protect him.
