Bad Luck

Bad luck seemed to follow Fara like a shadow.

Now, she was seated next to Ziggy on the flight back to the city. Of all the people on this plane, it just had to be him.

Fara hadn't even glanced to her right where Ziggy sat. Embarrassment mixed with irritation bubbled in her chest, fueled by the memory of last night's impulsive mistake. A night she'd much rather pretend never happened.

What made it worse? Ziggy was acting totally normal with the rest of the crew, as if absolutely nothing had happened. Meanwhile, Fara had been walking around with the emotional equivalent of a thundercloud over her head.

As soon as the plane took off and reached cruising altitude, Fara bolted out of her seat. She needed an escape, a breather. Thankfully, the restroom was free, and she wasted no time slipping inside.

But just as she stepped in, someone shoved her further into the tiny space, their hand covering her mouth before she could even yelp.
