After settling the problem in the town, Li An decided to hunt down Ar Xin who escaped the town after their ambush on Li An failed.

After speedily traversing through the thick and dark forest, she finally got a whiff of Ar Xin's trace.

The scent of death lingered in the air. Li An knelt beside the shriveled corpse of a merchant, his face twisted in agony. His lips were blackened, his veins bulging with a sickly green hue—clear signs of the infamous poison assassin, Ar Xin. The town's guards had been too slow to react, and by the time the victim collapsed, Ar Xin had already slipped into the shadows.
