Chapter 77

Betrayed by Blood

Kendra paced back and forth in her room, her heels clicking against the polished wood floor. The walls, painted in muted golds and silvers, did little to soothe the anger bubbling inside of her. It had been a week since Cain ruthlessly banished her from his pack as if she meant nothing to him. He threw her out without a second thought, all for that servant. Kendra had spent days in bed, pondering where she went wrong. Why he had to punish her when he initially wanted this. He wanted her to threaten Avery too, so why? Why couldn't he see she was only doing this because of him? Why did he have to act like she was worth nothing? He humiliated her so horribly. Her, Kendra, the envy of other women. He turned her into a laughing stock all for a pathetic excuse of a woman.
