I'm So Unlucky To Meet You

Towards the last lesson, they entered biology class. Unfortunately, Mr. Whale who taught biology that day could not be present and instead gave them an assignment to do in groups.

"Alright, I'll read out the groups that Mr. Whale has divided for this assignment. You guys listen carefully because I won't repeat it twice," Angelia said as she opened the group list in her hand. "First we have Abel and Yoora. Then next..."

'I hope I can get my group mate to cooperate well. It's good that she's a pretty, sweet girls,' Claire thought hopefully as she waited for his name to be mentioned.

"Claire!" called Angelia. Hearing his name called, Claire immediately stood up excitedly. "You'll be in the same group as... Fein."

Like he had just dropped another ball of bad luck, Claire pounded his desk in annoyance. "Why do I have to be in a group with that damn Alpha?!" he raged.

"Hey hey relax bro!" his male friends exclaimed to calm Claire down. They understood that no one wanted to be in a group with Fein who looked so threatening.

Fein himself didn't really care who his group mates were, so he kept quiet.

"But this is what Mr. Whale wrote. I'm just reading it out. Sorry about that, Claire. Those whose names have been mentioned, gather with your group and do the assignment. This assignment is due next week."

The dark blue-eyed student could only give up for the second time and picked up his biology textbook. He walked over to Fein and slammed the book down on the table.

"Don't burden me," he said.

"Heh, I can do everything myself without your help at all," Fein replied.

"Yeah yeah yeah whatever you want." Not wanting to linger too long, Claire pulled up the empty chair in front of Fein and sat down. It was obvious that he still disliked this very much, but the man in front of him just looked at his assignment book casually.

Until their female classmate came over, "If you don't want to be in a group with Fein, let me. You can be in a group with Arthur," she said.

But neither of them paid any heed to that. Instead, Claire shooed the girl away. "Go away already, we're doing our work."

"You said you don't want to be with Fein, then I'll be with him!" the girl replied more forcefully. She had liked Fein since she first moved into the class, so she thought it was a good opportunity to be in a group with him.

"Heh, it's none of your business whether I like you or not. Never mind that you're an eyesore."

Now it was Claire and the female student who were arguing with each other unnecessarily. Fein who was between them immediately got up from his chair and brought his book.

"Stop it, I have no problem being in a group with him anyway. So you just go with your group," he replied casually and pulled Claire's hand out of the classroom.

"H-hey hey! Where are you taking me?!" Reflexively he grabbed his book as well following Fein who pulled him out.

Outside the classroom, Claire brushed Fein's hand away from him and then looked sharply at the man before him at the moment. "What the hell are you? Pulling me out just like that," he annoyed.

"You're the one who's too busy fighting like a woman. Heh, are all omegas that loud?"

Claire's eyes widened and she immediately ran to cover Fein's mouth with his hand. "Fool! If anyone hears, it could be dangerous!" said Claire in a half-whisper.

Seeing Claire's face so close with both hands covering his mouth, a faint smirk appeared on Fein's lips and pulled Claire's hand towards him. "So what if they know? Are you afraid of being treated as an omega, hm? You look cute enough to be an omega from your face alone," he teased.

A red tinge appeared on Claire's face when he heard Fein's words. He immediately pulled himself away and tried to condition himself. Witnessing that, Fein could not help but laugh even though he had tried to keep his mouth shut, but both his shoulders were shaking.

"Ahh... What an expected reaction..."

"Shut up! Just hurry up and do this assignment so I don't have to see your face any longer!" annoyed Claire. His blood always rose when he had to face Fein.

After stifling his laughter earlier, Fein went straight to the school hallway. Claire didn't know what Fein wanted to do, so he just followed behind. Until they finally arrived at the open hallway, where there were flowering plants around them. Without saying anything, he picked some flowers there. Of course, Claire was surprised and tried to stop his groupmate.

"Idiot, what are you doing?! That's obviously not allowed!"

"Just shut up, I'm just picking a few," Fein replied dismissing Claire's hand. He went back to his busy work of selecting plants and a few leaves for his perusal. After he had enough, he turned around and looked for Claire.

Just then, his heterochromatic eyes fell on a silver-haired man with dark azure eyes, sniffing a flower there. Claire's eyes slowly closed and a sweet smile was painted on her lips. "Mama really likes flowers like this," he murmured softly.

He don't know what was going through Fein's mind, but for a moment he was silent watching Claire who looked completely different, until he finally came to his senses and started staring at him. "Heh, look who's looking really omega right now?"

Claire's eyes glanced sharply at Fein and he pulled away from the flower. "What's wrong with me doing that, huh?" he asked as he folded his arms in front of his chest.

"I don't know," he replied briefly and walked into the nearby science lab. "Good thing this place is quiet. Hey, get in here quickly or I'll lock you out."

Hearing that made Claire immediately enter the lab. But unexpectedly, Fein actually locked the lab from the inside and kept the key. "Heh, why did you lock it?! Give me the key!"

"Not until the task is completed. Now help me research it. Get that microscope over there and set it up."

The two of them were very reluctant to do the assignment. While their other friends were thinking of doing it another time, that was why the lab was not being used by the others as well. Claire continued to watch Fein who was busy with the tools.

'He's... Talented too,' Claire thought admiringly at first. But after realizing it, he immediately cursed himself for being amazed.

Finished with his part, Fein immediately closed the book and sat down while trying to sleep.

"Hey! Don't sleep now! What's the result? You're not telling me?"

"Just do it yourself."

"You-- I helped prepare the tools and--"

Fein pressed the printed book to Claire's face. "See for yourself and don't be long. I'm going to sleep while you do the rest, don't bother me." He leaned his head back on his own arms on the table and closed his eyes.

Letting Claire do his part.
