Dior walked up to Claire and held both of the man's shoulders. His red eyes looked straight into the blue eyes that Claire had, then said. "You're actually... An Omega, right?"
Claire's eyes widened in shock at the question that came out of Dior's mouth. He immediately brushed the man's hand off his shoulder and took a step back.
"What the hell is that?! I'm an Alpha like you, I'm not an Omega!" he snapped.
"That's impossible, I've always felt your pheromones are different from most Alphas. You smell much sweeter and you..."
"Don't make it up, Dior. I don't like it," Claire said turning his face away.
"Then look me in the eye, don't turn your face away like that!" Dior looked sharply at Claire.
Instead of looking into Dior's eyes, Claire felt a violent shudder and immediately moved away from Dior. At that moment, it turned out that Dior released threatening pheromones that made Claire falter and end up being affected to the point of fear.
"As expected, you're an Omega."
"Tch... Then what? Are you going to tell this to the others? You don't understand, Dior. I've been trying to cover everything up all this time. I don't want to be seen as a weak Omega by everyone!"
"But you put yourself in constant danger. Especially yesterday when we fought with those bastard Alphas!"
"I don't care about that. Even if I have to sacrifice myself, I don't want to be looked down upon by them just because I'm an omega!"
The Alpha male could only sigh and say that he understood Claire's feelings and promised not to tell anyone. He would not change his attitude towards Claire even if he knew all this.
"Fine, but we're still friends, right?" asked Dior as he extended his hand.
"As long as you don't try to expose my identity in front of others. We're still friends," Claire replied as he shook Dior's hand.
"I honestly admire you, you're a different Omega than most Omegas. You're strong and powerful," said Dior recognizing Claire's prowess.
"Heh, don't underestimate me."
"I know I know..." Dior embraced Claire and randomly ruffled the man's silver hair.
The two of them laughed as usual without realizing that someone had been listening to their conversation. He was standing right by the door leading to the roof of the school. That person had been trying to restrain himself from talking. He left after he finished listening to Dior's conversation with Claire.
"Am I the first person to know that you're not an Alpha?" asked Dior again.
"Hmn... Actually, no. You're the second person to find out."
"Really? Then who was the first?"
Claire was silent for a moment and then leaned against the dividing wall. He let out a long breath and then answered. "Fein. He was the first to know about it."
"Fein? I'm surprised to hear that, but how did he know?" asked his best friend in surprise.
He recounted what happened between him and Fein in the first semester when they had just entered the class. How they met and what happened in the bathroom. Dior who heard that was even more surprised. He didn't expect a quiet guy like Fein to do that to Claire.
"It's good that he didn't tell anyone about this. So I'm safe until now."
"But what if one day he leaks this to someone else?"
"I... I don't know. I hope that won't happen. Never mind, I'm too lazy to talk about that person. Thinking about him makes my head hurt."
Dior understood Claire's feelings and did not ask further. They finally went back to class because class was about to start. Claire felt relieved because he trusted Dior that his best friend would not reveal his identity. He was sure that his best friend would keep his secret well.
Even so, he had made a big mistake.
"Claire! What do you want for lunch after this?" asked Dior.
Ever since Dior found out Claire was an Omega, he had grown closer to Claire. Wherever Claire went, Dior would always follow him. He didn't even hesitate to help Claire even though it was just a small thing that Claire himself could do.
At first Claire didn't care much about it, but over time he felt strange about Dior's behavior, which seemed to serve him as if they were a couple.
That afternoon, Dior was assigned to the teachers' room and left Claire alone in the classroom. It made Claire quite relieved because he felt that Dior had finally left him alone. He went to take some of his snacks to the roof of the school to enjoy by himself.
"He finally left, for some reason it feels uncomfortable for him to keep surrounding me. What does he want?" Claire asked himself as he sat on the floor. He opened his snack and ate it alone.
Lately he felt relieved that he didn't have to deal with Fein anymore. Fein seemed to be silent and didn't say anything to him since the day he fought with the alphas. It made Claire relieved but at the same time felt a little lonely. Usually he was the one who always fought with Fein now the man seemed to stay away from him.
His meal was interrupted by a long sigh. He shouldn't think like that, but now he did.
Claire threw away his snack trash then walked to the dividing wall to lean against it. His eyes looked at the entire school as seen from the rooftop. While enjoying the breeze, Claire sighed once more.
"Why do I keep thinking about him? Let alone thinking about him, what does he care about me?"
"What's this? You're starting to like that alpha, huh?"
Suddenly, someone spoke to him from behind. Claire turned around and found a purple-haired man with heterectomous eyes at his disposal.
"What are you doing here?" he asked.
"What does it matter if I'm here? This is not your private property. Anyone can be here."
"I know that too, but what business do you have talking to me?"
The man walked over. "I'm just asking you. You and that leaf hair seem to be getting closer. Are you a couple now, huh? He seems to know a lot about you already."
"What the hell is that? He's not my mate!"
"Really? But he already knows who you are, doesn't he? I'm sure it's only a matter of time before he becomes your lover."
"How do you know that? Besides, whether he's my mate or not later on, it's none of your business, Fein."
Fein was silent for a moment hearing Claire's words. What Claire said was true, what did it matter to Fein if Dior became Claire's mate? It's nothing.
"Oh or don't you feel jealous of him because he's close to me, so you--" When Claire tried to tease Fein, the Alpha suddenly pushed him away and locked Claire with both hands on the dividing wall.
His eyes stared intently at Claire as if what he said was a big mistake. His face drew closer to the omega's face, looking at him closely.
"Say it again, I'll make you regret it."
