The Last Exam Day

Exam day had finally arrived and all the first and second year high school students were off due to their senior exams. That was the case for Valerie who was currently relaxing at home for the next week. She watched as Claire continued to study even to the point of putting off dinner.

"Mom, I'm leaving," Claire said as he put on his shoes and looked at the book he was holding.

Since he was always driven to school by car, Claire read his book on the way.

"Claire!" called Valerie as her brother was about to get into the car.

"What's wrong, Val?" He turned around and saw his sister who gave him something. "What's this?"

"A good luck charm for your exams!" said his sister as she put on a bracelet that she had woven herself in dark blue and purple.

"You made it yourself? It's beautiful. Thank you, Val." He hugged his own sister and rubbed her head.
