Chapter 197: The Perfect Fusion of Senju and Uchiha

While chaos raged on one side, the battle on the other was locked in a deadlock.

It was a stalemate—a clash of titans.

Uchiha Hikari, armed with seemingly infinite chakra, unleashed Sage Arts as though chakra expenditure was a trivial matter. Her attacks rained down relentlessly, the battlefield engulfed in the inextinguishable black flames of Amaterasu.

Combining Amaterasu with Yasaka Magatama created a significant hindrance for Uchiha Shisui and Uchiha Fugaku. Despite being on the backfoot, her Perfect Susanoo, enhanced by Ryūchi Cave's Sage Arts, still stood tall against Shisui's assault.

Shisui, for all his might, couldn't completely obliterate the autonomous Perfect Susanoo. The interference of Mokuton (Wood Release) combined with Amaterasu only deepened the stalemate.

Facing off against the Sage-enhanced Wood Human, even Fugaku could barely hold his ground.

It was reminiscent of the legendary battle between Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara—the Sage-powered Wood Human against a similarly empowered Susanoo. They were evenly matched, like two sides of the same coin.

"Haha... I didn't expect you two to reach this level. Not bad at all!" Hikari's laughter rang out from atop the Wood Human's head, wild and unrestrained.

This battle—this spectacle—was everything she'd craved!

"Damn it!" Fugaku scowled from within his Susanoo, his expression stormy.

He had hoped to redeem himself in this battle, but reality delivered a harsh blow. His frustration simmered as he realized that this girl, no older than Shisui, was holding her own against both of them.

How outrageous was that?

To put it bluntly, both Fugaku and Shisui were only slightly weaker than Uchiha Madara in his prime. The difference wasn't in raw power but in experience. They were, for all intents and purposes, on the same level.

Yet here she was—Uchiha Hikari—managing to stand against them both.

This kind of strength... Even Madara himself or the so-called "God of Shinobi," Senju Hashirama, might not have been able to pull this off!

BOOM!

The deafening sound of thunder split the heavens as the golden Perfect Susanoo clashed violently with the monstrous Wood Human.

For a moment, it was as if a meteor had fallen, the world turning white. The resulting shockwave was akin to a Tailed Beast Bomb detonating, sweeping through everything in its path.

CRACK—

The sharp sound of fracturing rock echoed across the battlefield as part of the island began to crumble, sinking into the sea.

This level of combat—this sheer destructive force—was the stuff of legends, reshaping the land with every move.

Within his Susanoo, Fugaku narrowed his eyes. Sage Chakra surged wildly from him, pouring into the Susanoo. He was determined to gain the upper hand in this clash.

Across from him, Hikari's black hair whipped wildly in the wind. A grin played on her lips as Sage Chakra brimming with life energy surged into her Wood Human.

Suddenly, the wooden dragon coiled around the Human roared, its massive jaws snapping open as it lunged straight for the Susanoo's brow.

But Fugaku was prepared. The Susanoo's wings flared out, and from beneath them, an enormous hand emerged, seizing the dragon mid-air. At the same time, the other hand swung forward, aiming a punch directly at Hikari atop the Human.

ROAR!

Another dragon head erupted from the Human's body, snapping its jaws shut on the Susanoo's fist.

"Tch! Damn Mokuton!" Fugaku cursed under his breath. For the first time, he fully understood Madara's frustrations back in the day.

Unlike the rigid structure of Susanoo, Mokuton was infinitely adaptable. Its form shifted fluidly, capable of offense or defense as needed.

Though Fugaku also possessed Mokuton, he couldn't wield it as recklessly as Hikari did. He simply didn't have the chakra reserves to sustain such extravagance.

Unbeknownst to him, Hikari had replenished her chakra earlier by absorbing a substantial amount from several reanimated shinobi.

The ground trembled violently as enormous tree roots erupted from below, shooting skyward. Some coiled around the Perfect Susanoo, while others transformed into sharp, unyielding spears aimed at its core.

Hikari's Mokuton technique engulfed both Fugaku and Shisui in its relentless assault.

Amidst the chaos, Shisui's spiraling sword danced, slicing through the oncoming vines with precision. His red Susanoo, battered and broken, still managed to wield its massive chakra blade, swinging it down toward Shisui with undiminished ferocity.

Though unmanned, the autonomous Susanoo forced Shisui onto the defensive.

BOOM!

The green spiral sword collided with the red chakra blade. A surge of energy tore through the land, splitting the ground and scarring the heavens.

On the other side, Fugaku's Perfect Susanoo staggered backward under the barrage of wooden spears and vines.

Seizing the moment, Hikari directed her Wood Human to unleash a devastating punch, sending Fugaku's Susanoo flying thousands of meters into the ocean.

Just as she was about to press her advantage, Tobirama Senju appeared abruptly beside her.

"The fight's over on the other side. Nagato has extracted most of the Three-Tails' chakra. He sent me to remind you—it's time to retreat," Tobirama said briskly.

Hikari's expression shifted. She turned sharply, her gaze locking onto Uchiha Akira, who had appeared unscathed nearby.

Her eyes narrowed in irritation as she clicked her tongue.

"Tch. That Nagato... he couldn't even scratch you."

Akira's Sharingan gleamed as he met her gaze. His voice was calm, but the underlying threat was unmistakable.

"Maybe you'd like to try. Why not stay and see how you fare?"

Hikari sensed the killing intent beneath his composed words but brushed it off with a cold smile.

"If you didn't have your space-time jutsu, I'd consider it."

"Oh? What if I don't use it? Care to test that theory?" Akira challenged, his tone laced with amusement.

"Hah!" Hikari scoffed, her voice dripping with disdain. "Do you take me for a fool?"

She sneered. "Next time we meet, not even your space-time jutsu will save you. By then, the gap between us will be insurmountable."

With that, she and Tobirama vanished into thin air.

"Flying Thunder God... what a nuisance," Akira muttered to himself.

The technique left him with no counter. If it were used offensively, he might stand a chance at reacting with his heightened reflexes. But as an escape tool, it was unbeatable.

There was nothing he could do.
