Whiskey-Jack's had a thousand questions. But only one mattered right now. He turned to his father, eyes wide with curiosity.
"Is he... God?"
His father's gaze was steady, his voice calm yet filled with wisdom. "Yes and no." He nodded slowly. "It...works alongside many gods, but is above all. Everything in this universe, even the gods themselves, is his work."
Whiskey-Jack blinked, trying to process his father's words. He could feel the weight of the universe pressing down on him.
"The mushroom you ate…" His father continued, as though sensing his confusion. "It's special. It's knowledge passed down through generations, used to guide those who seek the Creator's advice."
Whiskey-Jack's thoughts swirled. So the mushroom… it's not just some strange food… it was meant to help me?
"That answers a bit of the situation..." Whiskey-Jack thought, his mind struggling to connect the dots.
His father's expression grew more serious. "However, I've never heard of anyone experiencing the Creator's physical form... You must be unique, and I believe..." He paused, then placed a hand on his son's shoulder. "You must follow his advice."
Whiskey-Jack upon hearing his fathers words knew it was the right thing to do, and a sense of determination rose within him.
Still, one burning question lingered in his mind.
"How do I get stronger?" confused as how to accomplish this task. The Creator's advice and his father's words had opened his eyes to a greater path...one that he was ready to walk.
His father's lips curled into a smile, proud of the fire in his son's eyes. "I'm glad to see you're eager, Whiskey-Jack." He said, his tone soft and reassuring. "Tomorrow, we begin your training. For now, rest. The path ahead will be long and hard." Whiskey-Jack nodded, excited that his father was to pass on his knowledge.
His next words, though, gave him a sense of peace. "I'll also search for another mushroom… to prepare for you next visit with the Creator. But for now, rest. Tomorrow, everything will begin."
With those words, Whiskey-Jack felt a surge of anticipation, an unknown journey lay ahead would shape him in ways he couldn't begin to imagine, but he was ready. For the first time in his life, he truly felt alive.
