Berry felt the negative aura radiating off the other dragon and he could feel how tense Caelum was as he pushed him behind, as if shielding him.

"What are you doing here?"

The broken horn dragon scoffed at Caelum's question, he looked around before replying sarcastically, "eating?".

He chuckled darkly, walking closer to Caelum, "relax, you're still as uptight as ever" he said in a condescending tone.

Berry felt his heartrate quicken as the man got closer, but Caelum pushed Berry behind him even more, shielding him completely, he spoke in a firm and authoritative tone, "do not take another step forward".

The man let out a scoff and stopped walking, "why? I just want to see the pretty thing behind you".

Berry felt uneasy at the statement and that feeling only grew as the man continued talking.

"I see you're still frolicking around with Runes, to the point where you now bring them in restricted areas? Are you trying to get people killed?'

"You have no right to question my decisions, turn around and leave"

"Oh Caelum" The dragon began to circle him but each time he moved, Caelum moved too, blocking Berry from his view.

He wanted nothing more than to strike this man where he stood, but he didn't want to cause a bigger scene and he just hoped he would back off and go away.

"My my my, such lovely pink hair". In the moment that Caelum got lost in his thoughts, just that split second, the other dragon had teleported behind him, his hands already in Berry's hair.

Berry flinched and back away, while Caelum instinctively let out a burst of energy, sending the man flying back. So much for not making a scene.

The man had tumbled and fallen on the floor but the smirk on his face still remained, he got up shakily and laughed loudly, throwing his head back and clutching his stomach.

"Ha Ha Ha, how delightful, who would have thought that the dragon king himself would hit another dragon just to protect a mindless Rune"

The spectators, who had been watching this whole time, began to murmur and whisper, wondering why the king of dragons would protect a Rune so much.

Berry felt his self consciousness rising and he just hoped that the man would back off and not cause them any further embarassments.

"You've always been weak to Runes, maybe you are secretly using their poison for pleasure" the man declared loudly.

The crowd grew more restless, eyes boring down to Berry as the man hauled accusations at Caelum.

Could it be true?

I did hear low level Runes can use their poison for pleasure

Makes sense why he would want to keep him around

The whispers were growing more absurd by the minute, Caelum felt the heat in his chest rise, this man was publicly humiliating him! Making low level beings talk about him in his presence.

He felt Berry let out a soft whimper behind him and that did it, he didn't know why but his protective instincts flared and he let out a deafening yell.

"Enough!!" The ground trembling at the sheer wrath in his voice.His hands were clenched into fists and his body was trembling, energy began to flow around the area and fear began to grow within the crowd, even the man's cocky smrik began to falter.

He spoke in a dominant and authoritative voice, "Do I need to remind you of your place?!" he yelled, the ground shaking once more.

The other dragon was starting to feel the heat in the atmosphere and a flicker of regret washed through his features, "hey hey! I was just joking man! You're so serious Cae-"

"King Caelum to you!!"

Berry looked up at Caelum's fiery form, he felt scared in that moment, but not the type of fear that made him want to run away, instead he wanted to cling unto Caelum even more.

"You and I know rhat you are not welcome here! I might have spared you the other time but I vividly remember asking you to never show your face again!"

The other dragon moved back, cautious of Caelum's wrath but he was still defiant, "this is my home too".

"It was your home until you decided to go against my judgement!"

"We all can't agree on the same thing Caelum!"

"King Caelum!!"

The ground beneath them shook once more, the air becoming even hotter. The crowd around them began to disperse, all trying to seek shelter but some of the more stubborn and curious ones stayed behind to see how it would all unfold.

The stalls were getting closed due to fear and the street was becoming a bit more chaotic.

Berry saw the tension and fear lingering in the air and it made him feel unwell, he didn't want this, he wanted nothing of this sort and he had to find a way to stop it, Caelum seemed to be growing more upset by the second, Berry could feel the anger radiating off him.

"You chose the Runes over our kind" The other dragon spat! His voice laced with contempt and venom, "these beasts were your priority! Not the safety of dragons or humans! Them! I don't understand why! You should hate them more than anyone!"

"Whether you think that way or not, it gave you no right to do what you did!" Caelum snapped, "this kingdom was almost extinct because of you!".

What are they talking about?

"I was doing what was best for the kingdom! For us!"

"You were doing it for yourself! You selfish, blood thirsty bastard! I can't believe I shared a bed with you!"

Berry audibly gasped, although the sound was drowned out by the chaos, What does he mean by share a bed? Like sleep on the same bed? But doesn't that also mean…

The other dragon had an expression of hurt after taking in Caelum's words, his demeanor became solemn and he scoffed bitterly, "I did it for us, everything I ever did was for us". He said softly and turned around to leave.

"I'll leave you alone now, have fun with your Rune" He gave Berry a harsh glare that almost felt like he was saying 'this isn't over', and then he disappeared, turning into silver dust.
