Tears of the Sky

The scene at the warehouse was hectic. As Qianqian, Jinhai, and Butler Feng arrived, the sight of the others already loading the trucks without her made her feel a sense of urgency.

The trucks were packed to the brim, the team working swiftly, but Qianqian didn't let the small delay bother her. Instead, she focused on helping with a calm efficiency.

Her eyes flashed with determination as she activated her system. Immediately, large crates of food, medical supplies, and more essential items began lifting off the ground, stacking neatly into the trucks.

The others paused and watched, some in disbelief, while others exchanged glances. The sight of the crates moving with no hands or machinery was strange but welcome after the chaos they'd already witnessed.

He Jun's daughter, He Xiaoran, clung to her father's side, staring in awe at the levitating boxes. The Chen siblings, Zhihao and Meili, stood wide-eyed, their faces a mixture of fear, wonder, and exhaustion.

The world around them had changed, and so had their lives. They had witnessed more horror in the last few hours than they could have ever imagined, but Qianqian's effortless use of her system somehow felt like a small reprieve from the madness.

As the trucks were loaded, the group started preparing for their departure. The new arrivals helped as best as they could, their fear giving way to a sense of purpose.

The once-vibrant neighborhood outside the warehouse had fallen into chaos, but the warehouse itself, protected by the reinforced walls and now brimming with supplies, felt like the only safe haven.

Qianqian locked up the warehouse, ensuring everything was secure before turning to the group. Her calm demeanor was a contrast to the anxiety on the faces of the newcomers," I know you are all scared, but It'll be fine,we are heading somewhere safe."

They had only 4 trucks but it was more than enough. They all settled in and took off.

The journey was tense as the group moved through the desolate landscape. The streets were littered with the debris of a world crumbling under the weight of the apocalypse. The once-bustling roads were now empty, save for the occasional roaming zombie that Long Hao and Wei Jian dispatched without breaking a sweat. The two of them, taking turns, worked together like a well-oiled machine, swiftly eliminating the undead with precise gunfire and swift blade strikes. It seemed like a routine by now, almost mundane, though the weight of what was happening weighed heavily on them all.

But the quiet wouldn't last.

As they passed through a small village, an ominous rumble shook the ground beneath their feet. It was a low, spine-chilling tremor that seemed to vibrate through their very bones. The sky above turned dark, the clouds swirling in a way that felt unnatural, as though something was about to tear open the heavens themselves. Then, before anyone could react, a crack appeared in the sky, as if the very fabric of reality had been rent apart.

The sight was nothing short of apocalyptic.

Huge creatures, alien and grotesque, began to fall from the opening in the sky. They plummeted downwards with terrifying speed, their massive bodies slamming into the earth with a thunderous crash. Some of the creatures were humanoid, their twisted forms barely recognizable, while others were more monstrous in shape, with sharp claws, wings, and gnashing teeth. The creatures hit the ground with such force that the earth itself seemed to shudder, kicking up dirt and debris in every direction.

The zombies, already reanimated corpses stumbling through the streets, now became nothing more than prey. The creatures, upon landing, tore through the zombie hordes as if they were nothing but playthings. Blood and gore splattered the ground as the two forces clashed. The zombies were no match for the ferocity of these new beasts, who ripped, slashed, and devoured everything in their path. The once-silent streets were now filled with the horrified shrieks of the undead and the grotesque roars of the creatures. It was chaos—pure and unrelenting.

Qianqian's heart raced as she watched the scene unfold. For a moment, her mind struggled to process the madness. The world she had known was disappearing, and something far more terrifying had taken its place. She had no time to think, no time to wonder what had happened. All that mattered now was survival.

She slammed on the brakes of the truck, the screeching of the tires cutting through the chaos. Her breath was sharp, panic rising in her chest, but her determination was stronger. She immediately reached for her system, activating its features to provide her with weapons and tools. The air around her shimmered as the system's interface appeared, and from within, she conjured weapons with swift precision: a rifle, a few handguns, and an array of explosives.

"Get ready!" she shouted to the group, her voice filled with urgency.

Long Hao and Wei Jian were already moving, leaping into action as they drew their weapons. They moved with practiced ease, cutting through the zombies and creatures alike, their speed and skill evident in every strike. But even with their expertise, the sheer number of creatures and zombies was overwhelming. The battlefield was a nightmare—dead bodies scattered everywhere, blood soaking into the earth, and the terrifying growls of monstrous creatures reverberating through the air.

Qianqian's eyes narrowed as she focused. Her system provided her with the tools she needed, and her actions became fluid, each movement deliberate and precise. She fired at the zombies, eliminating them one by one, then turned her attention to the creatures that were wreaking havoc. She tossed grenades to clear out groups, watching them explode in fiery bursts that lit up the darkened sky.

The chaos escalated with every passing second. The creatures were far stronger and more terrifying than anything she had seen, their tentacles lashing out, crushing buildings, and sending debris flying. The zombies, already mindless in their hunger, became even more erratic, attacking indiscriminately. Qianqian barely had time to catch her breath before another wave of zombies rushed toward them, but Long Hao and Wei Jian were right beside her, cutting them down with expert precision.

Amid the chaos, Qianqian quickly realized she couldn't keep fighting forever. "Xiaoyu!" she shouted, her voice carrying above the cacophony of battle. "Take the kids back to the warehouse! Lin Mei and Lin Na take my parents with you! Now!"

Xiaoyu, eyes wide with fear but unwavering in her resolve, nodded quickly. She rushed to the truck where the children were, ushering them inside. Lin Mei and Lin Na were already on their feet, moving quickly to join her, while the others fought to hold back the ever-growing horde.

"Go!" Qianqian commanded. "Get them to safety!"

The truck rumbled to life, the tires screeching as Xiaoyu drove away, leaving Qianqian and the others behind to face the oncoming storm.

As Xiaoyu and the others disappeared into the distance, Qianqian turned back to the battle. The situation was dire. But they couldn't afford to back down. She would fight until her last breath if it meant ensuring the safety of her family and the others.

She reached for her system once more, activating a shield to protect herself as the creatures lunged toward her. The shield shimmered with a translucent glow, blocking the creatures' attacks, but the sheer force of their assault was starting to push her back. She gritted her teeth, refusing to yield.

"We have to hold them off!" Jinhai shouted, his voice grim but determined. He was fighting alongside his sister, each blow and shot he fired an extension of his resolve.

The sounds of explosions, gunfire, and creatures shrieking in rage filled the air as they continued to fight. It was chaos, a frenzy of violence and destruction. The world outside was crumbling, but they had one mission: survival. And they would fight for it, no matter the cost.
