Searching for the Hammer or a Thrill

As everyone knows, Coulson is a dedicated worker who's devoted his life to his career. Women? They'd only slow him down when cleaning his gun.

He'd rather name his car after a woman and ride it daily than reconcile with his ex, even watching her be with someone else because he believed it would make her happier.

So, kids? He'd never have them—ever.

"Hello." Coulson greeted warmly. To be honest, his appearance was deceiving—he truly looked like a kind-hearted man.

"Actually, I'm a government agent, with S.H.I.E.L.D."

Coulson didn't hold back, pulling out his badge and being upfront. After all, the man before him was just a Chinese coach at a Japanese dojo—no need for secrecy.

"We suspect that this dojo contains a meteorite from outer space. It may emit a special kind of radiation that ordinary people can't detect but could cause significant harm, so…"

Coulson produced a document. "This is a search warrant. We need to take a look inside."

"A search warrant?" Su Ye raised an eyebrow.

He had seen these often on TV but was seeing one in person for the first time. He was curious about what it said and which agency's seal was on it.

It was also Coulson's first time seeing someone take a warrant and read it word for word for ten whole minutes.

Weren't Chinese exchange students supposed to be good at reading and writing English by the time they finished high school? Did he really need that long to read a few lines, or was he trying to find grammatical errors or loopholes?

Before arriving, S.H.I.E.L.D. had thoroughly investigated Su Ye and the Shiranui dojo, including Hanzo and Mai Shiranui.

They knew about Su Ye's identity as a Chinese exchange student and his "bullying" of the school's top troublemaker.

He was a skilled martial artist from China, working as a dojo instructor. He had nearly participated in the KOF tournament in Beizhen and was clearly an expert with connections to other strong fighters.

Such a person was best left alone. Targeting him could trigger a chain reaction, leading to unnecessary trouble.

Finally, Su Ye finished reading the warrant, folded it, and tucked it into his pocket. "Can I keep this as a souvenir?"

Without waiting for Coulson's response, he opened the dojo's doors. Mjolnir stood firmly in the courtyard's center.

Genjuro, with his mischievous streak, had placed the hammer right in the middle of the courtyard where everyone could see it. No wonder Hanzo Shiranui was too annoyed to return.

Coulson waved, and soon a group of people in suits or lab coats hurried over, setting up simple yet professional monitoring equipment to measure the hammer's radiation.

After making a round, Su Ye approached Coulson, who was standing to the side like a mascot, watching his subordinates work.

"It's not that I don't want you to conduct your research here, but this is seriously disrupting our dojo's business. We can't even live here now."

"If we're occupying your property and affecting your business, we'll compensate you at market rates. Rest assured about that," Coulson replied politely.

"Don't give me vague promises. How much and when?" Su Ye didn't care much about money, but he wasn't about to miss out on what was rightfully his, especially when it was coming directly from the government.

Coulson had no choice but to initiate a transfer on the spot, depositing a considerable amount into Su Ye's account.

Whether this was procedural or not, Su Ye didn't know or care. He got his money, which meant he could report back to Mai Shiranui and let her, Qiong, and the others know they'd likely be spending the night at the bar.

Qiong and Yuri would probably be thrilled, given how close they were to Mai Shiranui.

Su Ye left happily with the money, but Coulson narrowed his eyes. Trusting his S.H.I.E.L.D. instincts, he felt something was off. Su Ye had been unnaturally calm about both the hammer and the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

At that moment, a female agent wearing a baseball cap approached. "Sir, that man's back looks kind of familiar."

Coulson raised an eyebrow. "Agent 13, are you suggesting…"

Agent 13 nodded. Her name was Sharon Carter, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who had previously encountered the "Iron-Head Fighter" in the underground fight club.

"A bit similar, but I can't say for sure."

"Alright!" Coulson waved his hand. "Forget this for now. Follow this Su Ye and find out if he's really the Iron-Head Fighter. Report back immediately if anything comes up. But whether he is or isn't, don't alert him. Understood?"

"Yes, sir!" Agent 13 nodded and followed Su Ye as he left the Shiranui dojo.

Meanwhile, on the West Coast in Los Angeles, Thor was dumbfounded as he gazed at the massive city, far larger than Old Bridge Town.

"This place… it's bigger than Asgard, isn't it?"

Jane, standing nearby, smiled and explained, "Los Angeles covers 1,200 square kilometers and has just over four million people. It's much smaller than New York and probably nowhere near Asgard's scale."

One sentence left Thor speechless.

Thor wasn't sure what 1,200 square kilometers meant, but the idea of four million people was beyond his comprehension.

Asgard, even at its peak, had only a few tens of thousands of people. A single city with four million was almost unimaginable to Thor.

But population was about quality, not quantity. Thor believed that even a thousand Asgardian warriors could easily conquer this city of four million.

The problem was, with such a vast area and so many people, how were they supposed to find the hammer? It was like searching for a needle in a haystack.

"Since it's Mjolnir, whoever took it is bound to make a commotion. No need to worry. We'll just wait for the hammer to reveal itself," Thor said confidently.

Thor, still reeling from the blow of being unable to lift Mjolnir, kept his spirits light and smiled at Jane.

After all, with such a big, luxurious city and a beautiful woman by his side, why search for a hammer when he could seek a thrill instead?
