If Words Fail, Fight

The Destroyer from Asgard, guardian of Odin's treasury and the All-Father's ultimate weapon, displayed overwhelming destructive power the moment it landed.

Its high-temperature facial beams unleashed destruction comparable to a human-made cannon. Planes exploded, terminals collapsed, and debris scattered everywhere, with countless casualties among the people.

In no time, the entire airport descended into chaos. Fires blazed everywhere, and people scrambled in a frenzied attempt to escape what seemed like an apocalyptic nightmare.

At this point, no one believed the massive steel figure was a new toy from Tony Stark.

Even if Tony Stark were drunk, the worst he'd do was wet his suit, not wreak havoc with a remote-controlled armor.

Speaking of which, I, the author, have a question.

When Tony Stark wears his suit, it's clear he's dressed underneath.

So here's the question: does he have a special device that unzips and handles things for him, or does he just go in his suit, where it's absorbed and dried?

If it's the latter, he must be quite a… "fragrant" man.

If it's the former, pardon me, but I suddenly have a bold idea...

Perhaps there's room for collaboration with a certain portable device company...

Jokes aside, when disaster strikes, there are always those who move against the fleeing crowd, becoming the brave ones who head into danger.

Some do it for duty, for responsibility, to honor the badge on their chest and their uniform.

Thor, on the other hand, did it out of sheer stubbornness. He believed he wouldn't fall easily. Even if he couldn't withstand the Destroyer's attacks, he could at least talk to whoever was controlling it.

As for who was controlling the Destroyer, who else could it be but Loki?

"Loki, my brother!"

On the ruined airport runway, Thor stood before the Destroyer. Despite his 6'3" stature, he looked like a child in comparison.

"Loki, stop! Tell me what's going on. Why did you send the Destroyer here? Why attack innocent people? This isn't like you. Something must have happened, right? Tell me!"

Without experiencing Mjolnir's rejection or Loki's subsequent betrayal, Thor still held onto hope—both for his bond with Mjolnir and his brotherly relationship with Loki.

Unfortunately, Loki had long wanted to eliminate Thor. After being beaten up in New York, his pent-up rage only grew, and he was eager to unleash it all at once.

Logically, Loki should have dealt with New York first or waited for Thor to arrive there. However, in the short time he returned to Asgard, many unexpected events occurred.

Heimdall, Lady Sif, and the Three Warriors of Asgard had all betrayed him, attempting to help Thor—the outlaw of Asgard—return to the realm.

For Loki, who saw himself as Asgard's new king, this was intolerable.

"One by one, why do you insist on opposing me? Why seek death? If that's what you want, then you can all die!"

After dealing with Heimdall's negligence at the Bifrost, Loki sent the Destroyer directly to Earth.

As for Sif and the Three Warriors, Loki wasn't concerned—they were minor players who had taken the wrong path and posed no real threat.

As for New York, he'd deal with them later, ensuring they'd be buried alongside Midgard.

Loki had a clear sense of priorities between personal grudges and greater ambitions. He knew that Thor was the root cause of Asgard's turmoil and the main obstacle to his reign. Eliminating Thor was his top priority.

Furious and resolute, Loki wouldn't listen to Thor. The moment he saw him, he ordered the Destroyer to launch a powerful attack.

In that moment, a thousand years of shared brotherhood and camaraderie vanished. Perhaps it was the depth of love that fueled such intense hatred?

"Loki!"

Thor was utterly stunned as he watched the fire beam shoot toward him. Despite Loki's countless past stabs—both literal and metaphorical—Thor had always dismissed them as pranks. He never imagined Loki would one day truly try to kill him.

So, he didn't even think to dodge, nor could he in time. He could only watch as the beam grew larger in his vision.

At that moment, a streak of fire descended from the sky like a missile, striking the Destroyer's head. It forced the beam downward, blasting it into the ground and creating a massive upheaval of dirt.

Boom!

Thor was thrown by the explosion. Although he looked battered, he was lucky to avoid a direct hit to the face, which would have instantly ended him.

At the same time, he lost his chance for a near-death comeback, leading ten thousand warriors to build Loki a luxurious doghouse.

Because Iron Man had taken over the fight.

Tony Stark, Iron Man, the hero of Los Angeles, made an impressive entrance, delivering a head-slam to the massive Destroyer.

The entire airport erupted in excitement. Just moments ago, passengers were fleeing in panic, but now they stopped in their tracks, turning to cheer wildly.

Who built the earlier steel figure no longer mattered. What mattered was that Iron Man was here, and with him came hope. The airport would soon return to safety.

Thor climbed out of the rubble, wiped his mouth, and shouted at Iron Man, who was hovering above, surveying the Destroyer while basking in the crowd's cheers.

"I suggest you leave now! That thing isn't what you think—it's not easy to defeat!"

Before Thor could finish, the Destroyer, which had been face-down in the ground, began to stir. Its metallic surface rippled, and in moments, it flipped over, its back now revealing a hollow face. Red light glowed ominously as it aimed at the hovering Iron Man.

"High-energy warning below!"

As J.A.R.V.I.S. issued the alert, Iron Man quickly fired his thrusters, preparing to evade.

However, the attack was too sudden, and the energy beam fired too fast. Iron Man did his best to dodge but was grazed on one leg. One of his thrusters malfunctioned briefly, causing him to flip mid-air and crash awkwardly to the ground.

"I told you!" Thor sighed. "That thing is incredibly powerful. Underestimating it is your biggest mistake."

Iron Man shot Thor a frustrated glance but said nothing. With a cold snort, he stood up, clenching his fists, straightening his posture, and aimed his repulsor cannon squarely at the Destroyer's face.

Coincidentally, the Destroyer also opened its maw at that moment, seemingly ready to meet Iron Man's blast head-on.

In the next second, both unleashed their full power. The arc reactor's energy beam clashed fiercely with the Destroyer's fiery blast, colliding with explosive force.

The colossal energy clash resulted in a massive explosion. The nearby passengers, who had stopped to cheer for Iron Man, were now faced with the destruction they had hoped to escape but could not avoid.
