With a lineup consisting of Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Green Suit, Electro, and Wolverine, handling three mutants was naturally no problem.
However, dealing with Sebastian Shaw, the Black King, and his energy absorption and release abilities, it was best not to let pure energy-based heroes like Iron Man, Thor, or Electro take him on.
Otherwise, they might just become his battery, fueling him for a devastating counterattack.
The best strategy for dealing with the Black King? Send in just one person.
Captain America.
With his shield, Captain America wasn't afraid to go one-on-one against a fully equipped Thanos, holding his own in an evenly matched fight. Taking on Shaw? Child's play.
As for Azazel (Red Devil) and Riptide, losing against five superheroes would be inevitable.
The five superheroes leaped out of the Quinjet. Even Captain America was equipped with a lightweight flight pack, transforming from a super soldier on foot to one in the air.
Seeing their arrival, Sebastian Shaw and his crew on the yacht naturally grew tense.
After the Battle of New York, the Great Wall Defenders had become famous, igniting a wave of fan frenzy. Villains looking to stir up trouble naturally studied these heroes' abilities to avoid being caught off guard.
Shaw never expected that their operation, which had barely started—merely influencing a military colonel and suggesting the deployment of nukes—would draw such a swift response.
And yet, the Great Wall Defenders came charging in, bringing overwhelming force.
Thor, soaring in the sky, hurled his hammer, summoning a massive bolt of lightning. But instead of striking Shaw, he aimed at the yacht's stern, crippling it in one strike.
The impact also damaged the submarine beneath the yacht—Shaw's planned escape route for emergencies.
But now, before it could even be used, the submarine started taking on water.
Left with no choice, Shaw commanded Azazel and Riptide to prepare for battle.
Shaw wasn't afraid of fighting; he simply despised unnecessary conflicts.
Yet before the fight could begin, Shaw noticed that the White Queen, always by his side, was frozen in place.
Emma Frost, the White Queen, capable of diamond form and telepathy, had always been Shaw's right-hand woman, someone he raised like his own daughter.
Shaw was actually quite old. Although he appeared youthful, it was merely the result of absorbing energy to rejuvenate his body.
In other words, while his body was young, his mind was that of an elder, focused on power and the future of mutants rather than fleeting passions.
Emma Frost was raised by Shaw and groomed as his successor, not as a lover.
Thus, her codename shouldn't technically be White Queen, but rather White Princess.
But now, danger loomed, the battle had begun, and his chosen successor was paralyzed?
"Emma, what's wrong with you?" Shaw shouted, snapping her out of her daze.
Emma's face turned pale as she screamed, "There's a telepath on the other side! Be careful!"
She then activated her powers, spreading a psychic force field like a diamond barrier to block external mental intrusions.
Emma sighed in relief, "I was just controlled by the enemy. Their telepathy is strong; I can't hold them off for long!"
Shaw glanced up at Thor and Max discharging lightning and electricity. Gritting his teeth, he muttered, "I'll figure something out!"
He strode to the deck's center, raised both middle fingers towards Thor, Max, and Iron Man in the sky, and shouted furiously.
"Come at me!"
Finger gestures combined with a lion's roar—an unexpectedly potent combo.
Captain America, descending from the sky, was teleported away by Azazel. Meanwhile, Wolverine, ready to land, was struck by a whirlwind from Riptide.
The Great Wall Defenders in the air immediately adjusted their strategy.
Not only Thor, Max, and Iron Man, but even Harry joined in.
The four hovered in the sky, ignoring the other battles, and launched an all-out assault on Shaw's position.
Lightning, missiles, and machine gunfire poured down, unleashing a barrage powerful enough to decimate an entire reinforced company.
Despite the onslaught, Shaw wore a maniacal grin of triumph.
"Hit me harder!" he shouted with wild glee.
With a crazed roar, Shaw spread his arms, and an invisible force formed between his hands.
The incoming lightning, missile blasts, and other attacks were forcibly absorbed into the space between his hands.
Gritting his teeth and laughing maniacally, Shaw compressed the violent energy within his grasp.
This was Shaw's power: to absorb and compress any form of energy, storing it within himself for release at will.
This near-invincible ability made him more than capable of taking on all four heroes at once.
Thor, Tony, and the others knew this well; Su Ye had briefed them on Shaw's capabilities beforehand.
Yet, despite Shaw's relentless absorption of their attacks, the four remained calm, hovering mid-air and maintaining their offensive.
Thor summoned storm clouds, turning Mjolnir into a conduit, channeling and discharging continuous lightning strikes at Shaw.
After exhausting his missiles, Iron Man activated his repulsor cannons and Arc Reactor, blasting powerful beams at maximum output.
Electro and Green Suit followed suit, discharging electricity without restraint. Harry, meanwhile, unleashed a load of pumpkin bombs—all prepared for Shaw.
This was the Great Wall Defenders' strategy for dealing with Shaw, in addition to Captain America's even fight potential.
Since you can absorb energy, let's see how much you can take before you reach your limit.
If their combined attacks couldn't max him out, no problem—there was still a crate of Dr. Fox's prototype Arc Reactors aboard the nearby Quinjet.
Even Asgard's Destroyer couldn't withstand a single blast from these. How many could Shaw handle?
That's why Su Ye wasn't worried about Shaw from the start—his focus was on handling the White Queen.
After Emma broke free from Su Ye's initial telepathic control and deployed her psychic barrier, he immediately launched a second wave of attacks.
With Shaw away, Emma maintained her psychic shield while fully transforming her body into diamond form, scanning her surroundings warily for any incoming attacks.
At that moment, an electrical cable silently slithered up from the yacht's railing, like a snake ready to strike, creeping toward Emma's back.
Her psychic barrier not only blocked Su Ye's mental intrusion but also dulled her awareness of her surroundings.
It wasn't until the cable was inches away that Emma belatedly sensed it and tried to dodge.
But it was too late.
The frayed end of the cable lashed out like a tentacle, latching onto her.
With a sharp tearing sound—
Emma stumbled backward in panic, narrowly breaking free, but not before the cable snagged a piece of her diamond-encrusted clothing.
In all fairness, Su Ye had no intention of undressing her; he simply aimed to subdue her using the combined powers of Professor X and Magneto.
Defeating a mutant using mutant powers was, in his view, the utmost respect.
Yes, that's exactly what it was.
But battles are unpredictable, and such awkward situations were bound to happen.
Still, that wasn't a good enough reason for Su Ye to halt his assault.
Thus, after 'accidentally' ripping off her garment, Su Ye kept going, using his magnetic manipulation to send another cable snaking toward her.
Having already experienced one cable attack, Emma was now on high alert, reacting the moment she heard another and readying herself for defense.
She grabbed a nearby pole, prepared for an all-out battle with the serpentine cable—a fight of woman versus machine.
With telepathy rendered ineffective, she had no choice but to rely on close combat.
Fortunately, even though her inner garment was torn off, her diamond form ensured nothing embarrassing was exposed.
Her hands could be completely freed, allowing her to fully unleash her super strength and flexibility, going all out against that cable.
Unfortunately, the serpent-like cables crawling up from outside the ship weren't just one.
A thicker cable in front caught White Queen's attention, while behind her, two more cables emerged, lunging directly at her back.
White Queen's close combat experience was limited, and she couldn't handle being attacked from both sides. After a brief clash, another ring of diamond was ripped from her body.
Two pieces of diamond attire now formed a matching pair, fluttering in the wind on the cable's tentacles, as if waiting for the day they'd be taken home for a fortune at a high-end auction.
White Queen was getting angry. She hadn't expected these cables to be so underhanded. Couldn't they just fight properly? Why did they have to rip a piece of diamond from her every time?
Now, she was left with only her socks and boots, feeling utterly vulnerable.
The cables showed no sign of stopping; instead, more and more appeared.
What were they up to—were they going to take her socks and boots too?
Or did they want to tear off something else?
Like her hair?
The only hair on White Queen's body was her head hair. That's right, only her hair.
As for why—probably not natural, right?
She definitely didn't want her hair ripped out and end up bald.
A woman being plucked bald, exposing a bare head, wouldn't look good at all!
Seeing the cables climbing up again from the ship's side, now numbering in the double digits, White Queen almost broke down.
She hadn't even seen what the enemy looked like—was she really going to be toyed with to death like this?
"Who are you?"
White Queen simply dropped her psychic barrier and connected directly with the telepathic opponent through mental power.
"What exactly are you trying to do?"
White Queen's voice was urgent; even through telepathy, her desperation was palpable.
She couldn't help but panic—not to mention Red Devil and Riptide, but nearby, Black King seemed to be struggling.
Black King was originally a tall, slim middle-aged man. Despite his age, he was well-maintained and could even be considered a handsome uncle in the eyes of some foolish women.
But now, his face was flushed red, and his entire body was swelling abnormally like an inflating balloon.
White Queen had known Black King for so many years, but she had never seen him pushed to this state.
She even felt that if this continued, Black King might be blown apart by the overwhelming force.
Black King could indeed absorb energy, but he wasn't a bottomless pit. It was clear he was nearing his limit.
In the sky, the four Great Wall Guardians seemed to be aiming for this. Their energy attacks were relentless, pouring down on Black King as if cost were no concern.
Seeing this, White Queen was truly afraid.
"You can't do this, Shaw will die! Let him go. I surrender—you can have me do whatever you want!"
White Queen pleaded sincerely, but all she received in return was a sigh.
"It's too late."
In the sky, the four of them—Thor included—continued their barrage, but their bodies were slowly moving backward.
Nearby, Captain America and Wolverine, who were fighting Riptide and Red Devil, also got the message and began moving their battle further away.
Meanwhile, White Queen was suddenly bound by countless cables, stretched into a star shape, and pulled off the yacht, flying toward the sky.
Then, the yacht, along with Black King on it, began sinking into the sea.
"You can't do this to him! You're a mutant too—you know the struggles of mutants! You have no idea how much he's done for mutants!"
White Queen no longer cared about the embarrassment of being left in just socks and boots. While suspended in midair, she was fiercely shouting at Su Ye through their psychic connection.
This time, there was no response—only a violent explosion.
Boom!
