Chapter Twenty-six

"Don't lie to me, handsome." The beautiful woman leaned closer to Jason, her curvaceous figure accentuated, and the scent of her perfume grew even stronger.

"Really, I'm not lying." Jason quickly took a step back. Despite her stunning beauty, he noticed that the three men behind her clenched their fists, and their eyes took on a sharpness with a tinge of hostility.

The beautiful woman's eyes momentarily changed from their previously charming expression to one of admiration, but Jason didn't notice. He only observed that the eyes of the three men behind her weren't as sharp as before, giving the impression that there might not be any immediate danger.

"Then tell me, should I bet on big or small this time?" The beautiful woman smiled at Jason. Her hearty laugh caused her chest to move slightly, drawing the attention of the men around, who couldn't help but look.

Jason was conflicted in his mind. He didn't even know what to bet on, especially since he'd just heard that it was likely to be small this time.

"Then I'll bet the same as you. After all, who among us gamblers doesn't want to win?" The beautiful woman made a slight movement, and the men's eyes were drawn to her again.

Jason hesitated. He didn't want to bet with the woman. If they won, it might put extra pressure on the dealer. And if they lost, he'd feel bad for her.

"Place your bets. Let the lady bet with you." People around were chatting. There were quite a number of onlookers who just wanted to watch the spectacle for free.

Lin also noticed the situation with Jason and quickly rushed over, asking, "Boss, what's happening?"

Jason shook his head and said, "It's nothing. The woman beside me wants to bet with me, but I don't want to anymore. I'm rather tired today." As more and more people gathered around, Jason grew increasingly worried. He had initially hoped to avoid drawing attention, but now he had become the center of everyone's focus.

"Miss, would you like to bet with me?" A portly man stepped forward. His eyes lingered on the woman in an inappropriate way, and it seemed he had some improper intentions.

"I won't bet with you." The woman gave the man a disdainful look, clearly unimpressed by his behavior.

"Alright, then may I bet with you?" The man raised his hand with an air of confidence, and one of his subordinates brought over a bag. It was evident that this man was no ordinary individual.

"Sir, please place your bet. I'm waiting for you. Anyway, I can afford to lose this amount." The woman's soft voice was pleasant to the ear.

"Sir, place your bet quickly. Don't be unappreciative of the courtesy extended to you." The man's tone turned harsh as he addressed Jason, a sharp contrast to how he'd spoken to the woman earlier.

Lin grew angry upon hearing this and stood up.

Jason gently pulled Lin behind him, signaling him not to stir up trouble. It seemed that he had to place a bet today. Since the woman had just mentioned that she could afford to lose the money, Jason came up with an idea.

"I'll bet two hundred thousand on big. Miss, how much are you wagering?" Judging from the woman's appearance, she should be able to afford to lose two hundred thousand. Since you've compelled me to bet, this money was won from the dealer anyway. I'll just use this bet to balance things out a bit so that the dealer won't lose too much.

"Then... then I'll bet two million on big." The man clenched his teeth to show off and put forward two million. It seemed that the woman's charm was so potent that the man was oblivious to everything else. He believed his two million was quite impressive, ten times more than the woman's bet.

"The result is out. Two, two, three, small." The dealer announced loudly. He cast a grateful glance at Jason.

"Small? It really is small." The man exclaimed. He had just lost two million due to his momentary bravado.

"Let's leave." Jason didn't want to get involved in any trouble. He called Lin and the others and departed immediately.

The woman also signaled her bodyguards to exit the casino.

The portly man saw that the woman was about to leave and grew anxious. "Miss, stay and play a bit more."

"No. I have something to attend to and need to leave." The woman ignored the portly man. She knew how to handle such inappropriate individuals, so she didn't pay him any heed.

"Damn it. I lost two million because of you, and you just want to leave." The portly man grew angry. He had already lost two million today, and he initially wanted to get acquainted with this woman. If the woman left, his efforts would be in vain. Hearing the portly man's command, his subordinates surrounded the woman.

"Miss, you'd better stay and play with me. You can decide what to bet. I'll follow your bet. I'm sure I'm more capable than that gentleman just now. He seems rather timid. I'll make sure you have a pleasant time gambling with me." Looking at the attractive woman in front of him, the portly man's inappropriate thoughts were briefly entertained. But he quickly realized that even if there were only three bodyguards with the woman, he might not be able to handle them easily as he had brought six people with him, all highly - paid and skilled individuals.

The portly man was still having his inappropriate thoughts when all six of his highly - paid and skilled subordinates were defeated by the woman's three bodyguards. In a short while, before he could even fully realize his plans, they were all down.

"The portly man was flustered and struggled to speak clearly when he saw that all his men had been defeated."

"You made some inappropriate remarks just now. How could you say such things?" The woman said calmly, her eyes looking at the portly man with a hint of disdain.

"Ouch!" The portly man clutched his crotch and cried out in pain.

"The portly man was kicked hard in the crotch by the woman's high - heeled shoes. Judging from his scream, the injury seemed quite serious. It appeared that he would need to rest for a while and wouldn't be able to go out and stir up trouble for a month."

However, Jason didn't hear the portly man's cry. In the car, he was saying to Lin, "Lin, tomorrow, give your assertive cousin three million. Then purchase the vacant land next to the park for me. I have a use for it. Also, buy two cars, one sedan and one van. It will be more convenient for our work in the future. Provide each brother who accompanied me tonight with a thousand dollars as a bonus for tonight's work."

Lin nodded with satisfaction. This boss was indeed different. He was so generous that everyone received a thousand - dollar bonus just for one night's work. It seemed that they had made the right choice in following him.

Jason looked out at the darkness and said quietly, "Look, from now on, I'm no longer the poor teacher I used to be. Davy, you'd better watch out!"
