Mindset of Demons

Akira's mind raced, consumed by the unknown attack he had just unleashed.

The sheer force of it had felt vastly more powerful than his usual bolts of white lightning.

He thought, his grip on the PanthoSword tightening.

"How did I even do that?"

"Could it be because my stats have gone up?"

"Or maybe-"

He gritted his teeth, frustration mingling with excitement.

"Damn, I need to figure this out."

"The more I learn about my powers, the more questions keep piling up."

Suddenly, a familiar chime echoed in his mind, and the system interface materialized before his eyes.

[System Notification]

[The user's power has met the requirement.]

[Skill Unlocked(Temporary): Energy Infusion]

[Description: The user can infuse energy into an object, concentrating their power. The longer the infusion, the more potent the attack upon release.]

Akira's eyes widened, and his lips curled into a grin.

"Energy Infusion?"

He thought, reading the description with growing anticipation.

"So, that's what it was… Infusing my energy into the PanthoSword and releasing it."

"And the longer i keep it to concentrate , the stronger it gets?"

"Maybe since i was in a life-death situation i did it unconscious"

His grin turned sly, the fire in his eyes burning brighter.

"Fuck yeah this...this is my winning ticket."

"If I can master this, the Troll King is toasted."

He raised the PanthoSword, its blade gleaming faintly with white mana as if it too were eager for the next clash.

"Let's do this."

Meanwhile, the Troll King glared down at the jagged wound carved into his chest. Purple blood dripped freely, sizzling as it hit the ground. His eyes burned with unbridled rage, veins bulging on his massive frame.

"You… dare to wound me?" - He growled, his voice thick with disbelief and fury.

"A petty human… a worm… has slashed me?"

The Troll King's mind raced, a rare glimmer of unease creeping into his thoughts.

"This human… he's evolving."

"Growing stronger with every passing second."

"If I let him figure out how to do that attack…"

He snarled.

"No, I can't afford arrogance anymore. This human has surpassed my expectations. I don't have the luxury of waiting—I will end this now."

Slamming the butt of his massive axe into the ground, the Troll King roared, his voice echoing through the cavern like a thunderclap.

The very air seemed to tremble as an ominous energy began to gather around him. His veins bulged even further, glowing faintly with a deep crimson hue.

[Troll King Activated: Berserker's Wrath]

The Troll King's muscles swelled grotesquely, each one rippling with unnatural power. His blood-red eyes burned brighter, now glowing like twin embers of fury.

For five minutes, he would become a force of destruction.

His blood-red eyes burned like twin embers of unrelenting fury.

"I'VE HAD ENOUGH PLAYING WITH YOU, HUMAN!" - He roared, his voice reverberating like an earthquake.

"TIME TO DIE!"

Akira felt it before he saw it.

A pressure—immense, suffocating.

It crashed over him like a tidal wave, pressing against his skin, threatening to grind him into dust.

For the first time in this fight, he instinctively stepped back.

A slow exhale escaped his lips. Then—

A smirk.

"So, the big guy's finally taking me seriously."

The Troll King vanished—or so it seemed.

In a blur of raw speed, the monster closed the distance in an instant.

CRACK!

Their weapons collided, and the entire cavern quaked. Rocks plummeted from above, the very ground beneath them splitting apart.

Akira's arms trembled under the sheer weight of the blow. His muscles screamed, his grip on the PanthoSword tightening to keep from being crushed.

"Shit… this is insane."

"He's stronger. Way stronger."

The Troll King snarled, pressing down harder.

"YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A BUG UNDER MY FOOT!"

Despite the strain, Akira smirked.

"Funny… aren't kings supposed to be smarter?"

With a sudden shift in momentum, he pushed the axe aside, twisting mid-air before slashing at the Troll King's exposed flank.

CLANG!

His blade connected—

But the Troll King didn't even flinch.

The monster's heightened durability absorbed most of the blow.

"Damn it."

"His defense is even higher now."

"He's even stronger than before, and my blade can't even cut him. If I want to win this, I have to learn and to use the Energy Infusion."

"You're really starting to piss me off!" - Akira shouted, leaping back to create distance.

The Troll King laughed darkly, his voice echoing with raw malice.

"Good...be pissed. , be scared."

"But it won't save you."

As the Troll King charged again, Akira's mind raced.

"Energy Infusion… I need to use it again."

"But this time, I'll push it further."

"Concentrate it longer."

He gripped the PanthoSword tightly, white lightning crackling along its edge as he began to channel his white mana into the blade. The air around him buzzed with electricity, and his body glowed faintly with white mana.

The Troll King roared, barreling toward him like an unstoppable force.

"LET'S SEE YOU SURVIVE THIS!"

Akira smirked, his confidence unwavering.

"Bring it on."

The battle raged on, the cavern quaking with every clash.

Akira, his grip on the PanthoSword tightening, struggled to maintain his footing against the relentless onslaught of the Troll King.

The Troll King's massive axe swung down with enough force to shatter stone.

Akira, forced to act, unleashed the energy he had been carefully infusing into his blade far sooner than intended.

A slash of white lightning arced toward the Troll King, striking his massive frame but failing to do the damage Akira had hoped for.

"Damn it,"

Akira's mind raced landing unsteadily on the rocky ground.

"I need time to charge it."

"But he won't give me that chance."

The Troll King smirked, his crimson eyes blazing with mockery.

"What's the matter, human?" - He growled, his voice dripping with venom.

"Where's that confidence you had just moments ago?"

"Are you already out of tricks?"

Akira's lips twitched into a grimace.

"Tch."

In a flash, the Troll King charged again, his massive axe crashing down.

Akira barely managed to block, the shockwave from the impact sending him skidding backward.

Then it happened.

The Troll King's fist caught Akira mid-step, striking him square in the chest.

The force sent him flying across the cavern, slamming into the jagged wall.

Rocks tumbled down, dust rising as Akira's body slumped to the ground.

Blood trickled down his face, pooling at his chin.

And yet—

His glowing white eyes shone even brighter.

"You call yourself a king?"

His voice was low, mocking, despite the blood trickling from his mouth.

Slowly, he pushed himself up, a grin stretching wide across his face.

"How many times have you hit me?"

The Troll King frowned.

"Huh…?"

Akira smirked.

"More than I can count."

He rolled his shoulders.

"But your attacks… they're too weak to even make me faint, let alone kill me."

The Troll King snarled, stepping forward with murderous intent.

"You're pathetic!"

Akira darted forward, weaving through the Troll King's attacks.

Each swing came closer and closer, yet he danced around them, his movements flawless.

"IS DODGING ALL YOU CAN DO?!"

The Troll King roared, his rage boiling over. His swings became wild, his attacks driven by reckless fury.

Then—

THWACK!

A blow connected, sending Akira sprawling to the ground.

Blood pooled beneath him.

Yet—

He laughed.

Soft at first, then growing louder.

"HIT ME!"

"HIT ME!"

His voice echoed through the cavern.

"Damn it, HIT ME AGAIN!"

The Troll King hesitated, confusion flashing across his face.

"Has your head hit too hard already?!"

The Troll King charged—

And Akira let him.

Each strike landed. Each attack drew more blood.

And yet—

He rose every time, his maniacal laughter cutting through the chaos.

Until finally—

He stopped.

He wiped the blood from his lips, his glowing white eyes burning with something twisted.

A slow smirk curled his lips.

"You just don't get it, do you?"

His voice was low. Menacing.

"You've been digging your own grave this entire time."
