A Caring Mother

The room fell silent after Dr Ashley left, giving Amelia enough time to compose herself before her extremely observant husband. She inhaled and exhaled controlling her breathing while praying in her heart that Dr Ashley would keep to her promise.

"Sweetheart, if you are uncomfortable here, I could make all the necessary arrangements to transfer you to a private hospital where only the best doctors will attend to you."

"No!" Amelia said sharply, taking Blaze by surprise. But she quickly corrected her wrong impression by explaining further.

"What I meant to say is that I am comfortable with the way Doctor Ashley attends to me. She is very compassionate, meticulous and friendly. I like her and I don't think I want any other doctor except her."

"Okay, then Dr Ashley it is," Blaze reassured her. "I will make sure she only gives you the best."

"Thank you, darling." Amelia pulled his chin closer and gave him a peck on the cheek.
