Blaze let out a frustrated sigh without giving his mom a reply. He massaged his throbbing head, yawning a second time, while cracking his stiff neck.
"You look tired, son. You need to rest." Maria said after observing him silently for a while.
"No, I'm fine. I can manage." Blaze replied, standing up and moving around the room to awaken his tired body.
"You know you are human, right? Every human needs their rest. If you keep pushing yourself this way, you will break down." Maria persisted softly, not wanting to push too hard.
"I don't want to leave her side again," Blaze explained patiently. "If I go home, I won't be able to rest knowing she is here and anything can happen just like before."
"Who said anything about going home?" Maria asked, knowing her son would not leave his wife's presence again. She gestured at the double-seater couch behind him.
