The battle didn't drag on for long. It had been merely three hours since the emergence of the fire - elemental monsters.

During these three hours, however, the southern city wall endured severe damage. The fire - elemental monsters weren't proficient in close - combat. Although they inched closer to the city wall bit by bit, their progress was agonizingly slow. As they advanced, they attempted to obliterate the city wall with volleys of fireballs, yet the city wall's resilience far exceeded their expectations.

Over these three hours, the city wall withstood countless fireball assaults. By then, the outer surface of the wall was charred black and pockmarked. Some of the craters were over three meters deep; only highly explosive fireballs could pack such a punch.

Overall, the city wall remained standing, but there were numerous gaps, and the entire upper section was on the verge of disintegrating.
