The next night, my partner was Yana. As usual, she's very bubbly and has lots of things to say. We went about our usual late-night tasks of adding and organizing goods, placing orders, cleaning, and the likes.
I thought this night would pass peacefully except for the ghosts I occasionally see but that wasn't the case. Outside the store, the loud laughter and cheers echoed off the walls, making everything feel chaotic. The delinquents were still out there, having fun, and it felt like they didn't care about anyone else.
Skateboards rolled against the pavement, and the noise was constant. I stood by the counter, arms crossed, watching as they showed off their tricks. Thanks to them, no customers had come into our store since they arrived.
"Look at them," I muttered, almost to myself. "How can they not see how annoying they are?"
Yana who was busy restocking snacks, glanced back at me. "You shouldn't worry about them. It's best to leave them alone."
