"Sandy!"
Rather than getting a reply, I was flipped off. This was seriously annoying the hell out of me, but the girl couldn’t care less. Huffing, I decided to leave her behind and head home. She was chatting with King, and all my pleas to leave were falling on deaf ears.
I decided to take the longer route home, hoping to decompress and reconnect with nature. I couldn’t pinpoint what was wrong with me; I was growing increasingly irritable by the day. Life was moving too fast. My best friend was the typical "queen bee" of high school—except we were in college now. Her influence was huge, rivaling my sister’s popularity, which irked Gabby, but there was nothing she could do about it.
On the bright side, Gabby and Mason were the campus' "couple goals." Everyone always gushed about how perfect they were together. Even I had to admit they complemented each other well.
