Rachel POV
As I settled into the sitting room, memories of the week unfolded before me like a tapestry; my reading material lay forgotten, its words eclipsed by the vivid memories of the past few days. As he drove me from home to school, my heart fluttered wildly, as if anticipating a grand unveiling. The sensation echoed that of a football player stepping onto a stadium stage, before a sea of expectant fans. My body betrayed my calm exterior: palms damp, lips aquiver, beneath the radiant morning sun. He appeared unusually calm, which shouldn't have surprised me given his experience playing football in front of crowds. I remembered letting my gaze linger on his athletic build, tracing the contours from his face to his waist, my fear momentarily eclipsed by longing. His proximity awakened a deep attraction.
