The Meaning of a Gesture

Not long after their meal, Link and Villette headed downstairs to catch a bus to the mall. While Link would have preferred the privacy of a taxi, his finances were strained. Just buying clothes for Villette and covering lunch would nearly bankrupt him.

After sending a message to Luna to meet at the mall, Link, with Villette hooded beside him, boarded the bus. Although the bus was crowded due to the weekend, they were fortunate to find a discreet double seat towards the back, as their stop was relatively close to the start of the route.

Villette seemed more excited than Link had anticipated. She gazed out the window at the swiftly passing buildings and parks, occasionally turning to observe the bustling passengers and the bus's interior filled with route maps and advertisements. Her eyes glinted with excitement and curiosity.

Observing her restless behavior, Link shifted closer to block some of the prying eyes and whispered in her ear.
