The Succubus and the Human

Villette's victory was, quite frankly, expected by everyone.

So when she emerged from the water, the noise from the stands had already dwindled significantly.

Truth be told, the audience hadn't held much hope for Winnie to begin with.

Soaked to the bone, Villette was breathing heavily, her gasps soft but rapid. Holding her breath underwater for so long wasn't exactly a walk in the park, even for her.

Yet she paid no heed to the crowd's reactions. After wiping the water droplets from her forehead that obscured her vision, she stood up, her face still wearing that familiar expression of indifference, as if nothing in the world could faze her.

"As expected of Villette, the most formidable among her peers," Alice's voice rang out. "Even in the disadvantageous environment of water, she remained utterly composed, toying with Winnie until she was utterly overwhelmed."
