“You’re a psycho who’s not worth being loved,” Aurelio spat, catching my ear as I passed by the office. “You Lycans are monsters, believing you’re self-righteous and refusing to get over petty things. So I stabbed you. How many times has Lucas or your father stabbed you? You forgave them, but not me. Why?”

Before Sabrina could respond, I stepped into the room. Her eyes met mine, brimming with unshed tears. I’d never seen her look so broken, especially not by someone like Aurelio. For a moment, I understood why my father despised werewolves. Why he felt they needed to be kept in their place? Kindness had made them forget who held true power.
