Chapter 103

Lucas's POV

I stepped outside the pack borders, trying to forget my argument with Elara. I joined my father and the other Lycans. Everyone was tense, a storm was coming. Lycans were really nervous about anything, but Amaris. The witch had them shaking. If I didn’t have to kill her, I’d befriend. A woman who has the power to scare all the Lycans is remarkable. My father stood at the front, his usual smug expression masked by the facade he was forced to wear within the pack. Out here, though, his true nature shone through—cold, calculating, and dangerous.

“Well, son,” Darian began, a sinister smile playing on his lips, “when are you going to drop this little spell of yours? Your mother told me everything.”

I met his gaze, my expression hard. “I’m never breaking it. You know that.”
