"Very well." Cynthia nodded her head.
Dylan's mind was at rest as he already had an idea of how to outrun Luminary Cars. Moreover, he didn't see anything special about Angel.
He confidently shoved his hand into his pocket and pulled out a wad of cash. "Here are five thousand dollars. I bet Angel would never get the chance to smell the back of my car until the end of the race."
Cynthia felt cool. She loved where the situation was heading. She reached for some cash too and said, "Here's eight thousand dollars. RetroFit is about giving back the honor to those who deserve it."
Dylan's eyes widened. He felt good to see the cool cash waiting for him.
Just then, the bearded, sturdy guy who had stood behind earlier paved the way through the crowd and walked forward.
"You can trust me with the money," he said.
Dylan glanced at him briefly and handed him the cash. Then, Cynthia did too.
"Whoever wins the race owns the cash!" the sturdy guy assured loudly.
