TimeTalk

“You’re sure you really want to go down this rabbit hole, Clarke?” M’s voice had that familiar snark in my head, but there was an edge to it this time.

A sort of rare thing, but not quite a novelty.

“You’ve done some recklessly stupid things before, but time? That’s a whole different level of stupid. And you haven’t even given me enough time to get my calculations in order.”

I stood right there, watching the resoluteness in Lynx’s posture and the harsh smirk on Chasms’s face.

Time was the only solution I could think to solve this problem that had just landed on my lap, but M wasn’t letting me move forward with this one.

“Please explain,” I said, crossing my arms, my tone matching hers.

Before I didn’t have the time to listen to her, I still did not now, but at least I could spare a moment.

M let out a deep sigh that certainly did not sound weird in my head.
