Chapter 87

Seeing that Dugu Bo was too lazy to even open his eyes Tianlin sighed helplessly "Old monster, you're too leisurely. Are you really planning to live a retirement life now? You're not even 90 years old yet and as a Titled Douluo, you can live for at least 200 years now that the poison in your body has been lifted. Are you planning to spend all those years lying on a recliner?"

"Haaaa!" Dugu Bo stretched lazily and letting out a long yawn before replying "Didn't you say you'd take care of me in my old age? This life suits me just fine. The environment here is great. I eat well, sleep soundly, and practice my soul power whenever I feel like it. There's no poison threatening my life anymore, and I don't have to worry about the Spirit Hall causing trouble. It's a peaceful life."

"But if you continue like this, your body will rust from inactivity. You need to move around occasionally" Tianlin advised, genuinely concerned

Dugu Bo dismissed his words with a wave of his hand "I don't rely on my physical body in battle. So what if it rusts? My poison grows stronger by the day anyway."

Tianlin knew the old man wasn't bluffing. Over the past three years, he had shared the alchemy chapter from the Shushan Treasure Record with Dugu Bo. The poison master had studied various herbs and concoctions during his idle moments, filling his Ruyi Treasure Bag with deadly poisons. His first layer alone held over a dozen potent toxins, each capable of being combined with his Green Scaled Snake King Poison to create devastating effects.

Though Dugu Bo's soul power level hadn't increased much in recent years, his combat effectiveness had doubled. If he faced the Spirit Hall's Ju Douluo and Gui Douluo again, they wouldn't stand a chance against his endless poisons.

"Forget it. Do what you want" Tianlin said, shaking his head in resignation before heading toward the alchemy hall.

As Tianlin walked away, Dugu Bo finally opened his eyes and watched his departing figure and with a smirk he murmured 'This little monster's soul power has grown again. He's truly extraordinary. I thought his extreme attribute would slow down his cultivation, but he's surpassing most geniuses.'

Tianlin's rapid advancement owed much to the Yin-Yang Eyes of Ice and Fire well that Dugu Bo had shown him. The powerful ice and fire energies there compensated for the bottleneck caused by Tianlin's extreme attributes.

Nowadays, Tianlin spent half of each month at Tiandou Royal Academy and the other half meditating in the Yin-Yang Eyes. The area was isolated and protected by Dugu Bo's poison formations, making it an ideal training ground. Even when he returned to the academy, he and Xue Qinghe utilized the power of Tianxue to aid their cultivation.

However, Tianlin refrained from relying solely on Tianxue. 'I can't let Qian Renxue gain too much from me,' he thought warily. Her cultivation speed was astonishing. With no extreme attributes hindering her, she was advancing rapidly. In just a few years, she had approached the Soul Saint level, and if this continued, she might reach Soul Douluo by the time the events of the original story unfolded.

"At that point, how would I even defeat her?" Tianlin often pondered this question.

Despite his reservations, Xue Qinghe had been nothing but kind to him over the years. She frequently visited and offering him rare elixirs, soul guides, and information about soul beasts. Tianlin felt indebted to her, which troubled him deeply and he feared that if this continued, he might find himself unable to oppose her in the future.

"I must find a way to repay her favors" Tianlin resolved "Even if we become enemies, I cannot be ungrateful."

Upon entering the Medicine Refining Hall, Tianlin was greeted by several disciples "Greetings, Young Master!"

These disciples, originally low-level soul masters, had been taught by Tianlin to refine medicines, elevating their status within the clan. Their gratitude toward him was immense.

Tianlin nodded warmly "Thank you for your hard work. Since I'll be returning to Tiandou Royal Academy tomorrow, I need your help refining some elixirs. Can I trouble you with this task?"

"Of course, Young Master! Please give us your instructions" they responded eagerly

Tianlin listed the required pills "One Xuanyuan Pill, one bottle of Bingpo Pills, one bottle of Yanxi Pills, and a few Yanghun Pills. How long will it take?"

After a brief discussion and they assured him "The Xuanyuan Pill will take a bit of time, but the others are simple. We promise to deliver everything within half a month."

"Half a month? That works" Tianlin agreed "Thank you for your efforts!"

The disciples, flattered by his courtesy and quickly replied "Young Master, it's our honor to serve you!"

Tianlin's request wasn't for himself but for the future members of the Shrek Seven Devils. He intended to use these pills as a gesture of goodwill. If they chose to join the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Clan, Tianlin would spare no effort in providing even divine pills. However, if they refused, they wouldn't receive anything from him.

He also aimed to acquire valuable resources from Tang San "Some things Tang San has could be crucial for the clan" he mused

Meanwhile, Ning Rongrong, who had left the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Clan, was exploring the world like a wild horse unleashed as it was her first real adventure outside, and she was brimming with excitement.

The jealousy she had felt toward Tianlin had long been forgotten.

"Shopping! More shopping!" Ning Rongrong indulged in her favorite pastime, buying anything that caught her eye. With her wealth and a soul guide to store her purchases, she had no concern about the cost or quantity.

Naturally, her beauty and wealth attracted unwanted attention from unsavory characters. However, with Yin Mengyang secretly guarding her none of these villains posed any real threat.

Thus, Ning Rongrong arrived safely at her destination: Shrek Academy.

Standing before the academy's dilapidated gates, she frowned in disbelief. "No way… Is this really the Shrek Academy Brother Tianlin mentioned? My clan's cafeteria is more luxurious than this!"

She couldn't reconcile the shabby appearance of the academy with its reputation. Could such a place really produce talents capable of rivaling the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Clan or the Spirit Hall's golden generation?

She thought of the monstrous talents like Tianlin and Hu liena who stood at the pinnacle of their generation "Can anyone from here even get close to their level?" she wondered skeptically
