Chapter 8

As soon as the mall owner handed Miles the VIP card, she cleared her throat, her sharp business instincts kicked in.

A major part of her success had always been recognizing potential, and something told her that Miles wasn't just any ordinary customer. If he wasn't already playing in the big leagues, he was bound to get there soon.

That was why she handed him the VIP card—something not just anyone could access. It was an investment, a way to establish friendly ties early on.

"Mr. Miles, allow me to introduce someone who will ensure you receive the service you deserve," she said smoothly, after he returned from making his purchase.

At her signal, a well-dressed woman approached, carrying herself with an aura of confidence . Every step, every move she made was deliberate, like someone used to handling high-profile clients.

"Our mall's personal escort service ensures that our most distinguished guests enjoy a seamless and luxurious shopping experience," the owner explained. "A dedicated concierge will guide you through our exclusive offerings and personalized services."

Vivian, the VIP concierge, stopped in front of him, giving a polite smile. She looked to be in her early thirties, everything about her looked professional.

"If you don't mind, sir, I'd love to give you a personal tour of the exclusive services available to you," she said.

Miles wasn't sure how to react at first. Just a short while ago, the receptionist had dismissed him like he was nobody. Now, the most exclusive representative in the entire mall was personally attending to him.

It was overwhelming.

Still, he nodded. "Lead the way."

Vivian gestured for him to follow, and as they walked, she began explaining, "As a VIP member, you have unrestricted access to our exclusive lounges, high-end dining, private shopping experiences, and personal styling services. You'll also receive premium discounts and priority service in all affiliated establishments."

Miles observed his surroundings. The mall was undoubtedly luxurious; marble floors, grand chandeliers, and high-end storefronts. But more than that, he felt the shift in how people perceived him.

Before, he had been just another face in the crowd. Now, subtle glances followed him as he walked by, escorted by someone clearly important.

Their first stop was the VIP Lounge, a private space with sleek décor, comfortable leather seating, and a fully stocked bar. A few well-dressed individuals were already there, either engaged in quiet conversation or lounging in private booths.

"This is the VIP Lounge," Vivian explained. "A place for members to unwind, conduct business, or simply enjoy some peace away from the main mall traffic. Complimentary refreshments are available, and if you ever need a private space for a meeting, we have rooms available."

Miles nodded, making a mental note to use this place if he ever needed a quiet spot.

Next, Vivian led him into one of the mall's luxury fashion boutiques. The moment they entered, the staff's demeanor shifted instantly. Attentive. Professional. Eager. A manager approached with a smile.

"Welcome, Mr. Miles. As a VIP, you are entitled to a private shopping experience. We can curate a selection of suits and accessories tailored to your preference. Would you like to take a look?"

Miles blinked in surprise. 'The mall's communication system must be insane. I barely became a VIP thirty minutes ago.'

Still, he considered the offer. His current wardrobe was pitiful, worn-out clothes that didn't exactly scream confidence. He had school to attend and a life to build. Dressing the part mattered.

"Sure."

The boutique staff moved swiftly, taking his measurements and bringing out a selection of high-end suits. Vivian stood nearby, occasionally offering subtle suggestions.

Miles carefully examined his options. He wasn't just picking for the sake of luxury, he needed practical, versatile pieces that would fit different occasions.

For formal events, he chose a Brioni charcoal pinstripe. For something more flexible, a Tom Ford midnight blue suit. And for the rare occasions when he needed to be at his absolute best, a classic Ermenegildo Zegna black tuxedo.

He also picked out dress shoes, belts, and ties to match, ensuring he had a full set for any occasion.

Then, he moved to accessories. If he was going to look the part, he needed to complete the look properly. He selected a Patek Philippe Grand Complications for formal wear, an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak in rose gold for casual occasions, and a Rolex Daytona Platinum for everyday use.

Finally, he turned his attention to something more practical—a MacBook Pro.

'I have a feeling I'm going to be attending more formal adults from now on. So while yeah, getting suits and watches is fine and all, I need to consider stuff for college as well.'

He needed something powerful for schoolwork, online research, and keeping track of his system's activity if he ever needed to.

When all was set, he took a deep breath. The total cost of everything was $40,000.

His heart pounded slightly, not because he couldn't afford it, but because this was the most he had ever spent at once.

[Ding!]

[You have spent $40,000]

[Ding!]

[You have received 10x rebate: $400,000]

[Your balance is now: $1,398,171]

Miles' eyes widened. Even though he had seen it work before, watching the numbers multiply like this was still surreal.

'I just spent $40,000… and got $400,000 back? Just like that?!'

His mind started racing again.

'Does this apply to every purchase? Is there a daily limit? If I keep spending and getting 10x back, I could be making millions in no time…'

He took a deep breath. This was something he'd need to experiment with carefully.

For now, he followed Vivian to the luxury spa.

"Our VIP members receive priority booking for all spa treatments," she said. "Would you like to try a session?"

Miles hesitated. He had never been one to indulge in luxury like this. But then again, after all the stress of recent events, maybe a massage wouldn't be the worst idea.

"…Alright."

Soon, he found himself in a private massage room, experiencing what was easily the best massage of his life. The tension in his muscles melted away, and for the first time in a long while, he felt completely relaxed.

Afterward, Vivian guided him to one of the mall's high-end restaurants, where a private table was already prepared. The staff treated him with utmost care, presenting him with a gourmet menu.

"As a VIP, you have access to the finest dining experiences," Vivian said with a small smile. "Tonight's meal is on the house, as a welcome gesture."

Miles wasn't used to this kind of treatment, but he appreciated it. He ordered a gourmet steak meal, something he never would have considered in the past. As he ate, he reflected on how drastically his circumstances had changed in just a single day, it felt too good to be true.

By the time the tour ended, he had experienced more luxury in a few hours than he had in his entire life. Suits, watches, a laptop, a massage, a private meal…

'This system is insane…' he kept thinking over and over.

Later, as they sat at a table, Vivian gave him a satisfied look. "Well, how do you like our services, Mr. Miles?"

Miles leaned back slightly, still adjusting to everything. He thought for a moment, then nodded.

"It's been an incredible experience. You've definitely outdone yourselves."

Vivian smiled. "I'm glad to hear that."

Miles ran a hand over the VIP card in his pocket. He had one last thing to test.

He stood up, brushing off the suit he was now wearing. "There's still something I'd like to try."

Vivian raised an eyebrow. "And what would that be, Mr. Miles?"

He glanced at her, thinking.

"…You'll see."
