Saden looked at her captain, who was just standing there. Of course, she could tell he had been there for a couple of hours but only now chose to reveal himself.

"Have you known about the true nature of her betrayal?" she asked.

"Yes. I saw it the day she stabbed you in the back. She didn't do it of her own accord," Uncle Drew replied.

"I see," Saden nodded with a sigh. "Then is this some kind of test you have made for me?" she asked.

Uncle Drew smiled. "While this was unexpected, considering I never expected a noble family to be involved in human trafficking—well, it wouldn't put it past them. But while this was unexpected, I can say this is a test, and you passed.

"Had you, out of anger, stormed in and killed everyone, which I know you can, it would have shown you are not ready to ride into the night. I wouldn't have sent you back to hell for a couple of thousand years to reflect."
