Kent left for the Soul Tower, where he would be secluded to access and process the memories he would receive the moment he used the Memory Key. 

He is a reincarnate, and for some unknown reason, he now has access to a way to regain his memories. 

This, of course, wasn't something that should be possible, simply because to undergo reincarnation, one has to forgo their previous memories. 

In fact, having knowledge of your past self shouldn't be possible. 

What Kent went through when he was taken to Sonox was different. That was akin to transmigration under the authority of a god. 

What he will be going through now is accessing an entirely different life. This shouldn't be possible, yet he will be making it possible for unknown reasons. 

Gaia and Akira are with him. 

As they said, they want to know the kind of past Kent will be remembering. From their discussions, it was clear Kent has multiple past selves.
