It Wasn't A Coincidence

Isabelle's POV

We stepped into the chaos, the sound of gunfire echoing through the halls, sharp and relentless. My grip on the gun tightened as adrenaline coursed through my veins. If I wanted to earn Fred's trust—and get closer to uncovering the truth about Logan—I had to play along.

Fred moved ahead of me, his hits were so precise. For someone that is a narcissistic billionaire, it surprised me that he'd have some combat training under his belt. His movements were of someone that has a lot of experience that have accumulated for years.

Who are these people? Why did they come the same day I stepped foot in here?

I made sure that whoever I shot, it wasn't one that will kill them.

"Where did you learn this?" Fred asked.

"If you want to know. Logan taught me, its' easier when you can get rid of someone by yourself"

"Someone like me?"

"You're not even worth it."

I could feel him chuckle as the fight continued.
