We were back on the balcony, overlooking the festivities, when
Gianni finally showed up.
Before him came Cecile, dressed very smartly in a tan suit with a red tie and red drops on their ears. Gianni had chosen to go all out. He was wearing as much red as Laura wore blue. Red button-up, red jeans that hugged his shape, red pointy boots, red scarf. He was going all flamboyant on us.
Ever since his secret had been revealed, he was his own resplendent self with us. Much less stuck up, less brooding. More lively.
Eileen embraced him. I was surprised, but happy to see them getting along after all. August lightly punched him in the arm and stuck her tongue out at Cecile as a form of greeting. The girl was getting so self-assured since hanging out with them all.
I waved, as usual. "Hello prince, Cecile. What took you so long?"
"Cecile couldn't find the right earrings to harmonize with my attire, so they had to magic some and with all the magic they had to do for the day, it drained them." Gianni explained.
I nodded. We'd all done way too much magic to be ready for the ceremony. We were all one basic spell away from collapsing.
It reassured me in a way, seeing as Cecile's magic was so different from mine, that they'd be as exhausted as me. I still hadn't gotten to the button of the mystery that was this person, but it would have to wait another day.
"So, now we're all here, let the festivities begin!"
